The best college to get interms of facilities. You can enjoy every single day of your life. How we utilise is matter. No one will push to learn. You have to take responsibility on your own life and when you take responsibility the entire world helps you. It's not like other college that will allocate separate study time, put a strict warden or someone to monitor you. Everything is in your hand. But one thing for sure. ACCET will teach you life when you are out of it you will know how to survive on your own legs.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course similar in all engineering colleges in TamilNadu and it is as per AICTE norms. Students who are willing to do researches can perform it in the college and it is one of colleges that heavily backed by its aluminus team. Every year it conducts a program called THIRAN where students can showcase their products and innovation to the alumni team and each project will get its mentors and funds.
Placement Experience :
The placement is in a downtrend but this is common in all engineering colleges in TamilNadu. Few tech companies like Zoho, Tech Mahindra & Wipro regularly recruits people. You can be from any stream but if you know programming a place for you is assured. For Mechanical Engineers, We have SPIC, TITAN, WABCO TVS, SAINT GOBAIN & VALEO are the recruiters. The college has its own placement cell which gives training in both soft skill and aptitiude skill.
College Events :
The college has a lot clubs which includes FRESHERS - FOR NEW ENTRY ROTRACT & LEO - FOR ALL ISTE - FOR TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENT and association for each departments. The best thing that I have noticed from my college is that is in all this clubs the planning, event management & fund rising everything is handled by the students. Managing this clubs and association will help to improve your management skills and this has helped me a lot in my career. The college celebrate both culturals and mega sports event every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Tamil Nadu is one best government in INDIA and the state is one of the developed states in all aspects including education, industrial and lifestyle of people. The main reason for this improvement is the list of government colleges it had in all of its districts. This college is nearly 50+ years old and belongs to government of tamilnadu. The fees will be around 14, 000? per year (both college and hostel) + 2000? (mess bill every month) + exam fees (200? per paper). The lowest of all.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
You can opt for educational loans. Government scholarship available for all category of people. FC - MHRD scholarship OBC - MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP SC/ ST - SCHOLARSHIP Mostly you can get back the most of the college fees you have paid from this scholarship. That's the power of tamil nadu.
Campus Life :
The college is know for its freedom. You are free to talk to any one whether it is a boy or girl. Students from all over tamilnadu studies here. There is specialized lab call Enthra for robotics. All the clubs in the college conducts weekly debates on latest issues and fun games to improve the communication skills. We have all sports Football, cricket, tennis, basket ball, kabbadi, kho-kho, hockey, volley ball and throw ball. Whether you know are don't know the game join one, the seniors will mould you to the next level. Symposium and culturals all organised by students - fun and can be enjoyed to the core.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. The hostel are old and gold. 1. First year hostel - Kambar illam (50 years old)- 4/room. 2. Second year hostel - kannadasan illam - 4/room 3. Third year - Newly built - 4/room 4. Final year-Thiruvalluvar illam ( best hostel) - 2/room. The food are fairly good not the best but the best food for the mess fee that we are paying. The mess fee are on sharng basis it will come less than 2000? per month.
Alumni/Alumna :
ACCETOSA - ACCET OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION - The alumni group of the college takes care of most of the infrastructure development and alos they pay a vital role in improving students skill. The alumni are the back bone of the college.
Admission :
We can get seats in this college through anna university engineering counselling held by government of tamil nadu every year for students who completed 12th standard. For students who completed dimploma can attend the lateral entry counselling help in this college itself both things will happen between June to July.
Faculty :
Some of them are readily accessible. But the student to faculty ratio is low as of my knowledge. Which leads the college to use PG student of the college itself to teach some subjects that's the thing that need to be changed. But the professors in this college are highly knowledged persons. Most of the professors hold a Doctorate in their respective specialisation.
