UIT BURDWAN REVIEW

Remarks :

It is good but certainly not the best. If you are not from west Bengal then you will find some difficulty to mix with teachers as well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, the course is relevant to what is asked in on-campus as well as off-campus placements. The faculty helps you to develop better communication skills to impart your learning carefully. There are classes for communication skills. Yes there were industrial visits according to the department relevance.

Placement Experience :

TCS, KARVY and many other companies come to the college for placement. College provides you the opportunity to take AMCAT exam for free of cost once you are in final year.

College Events :

There is technical fest called utkrisht, cultural fest called waltz and other festivals like Saraswati puja, and other celebrations are done, apart from that parichay is the fresher party done to welcome new students and farewell is also celebrated by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yes it is feasible. For each semester it was 39100 but it keeps varying every year. Currently it is 40000 per semester and hostel fee is 7400 per semester. You have to pay your fee per semester. Either by cash or by demand draft. Yes college asks for some one time security money which is later returned once course is complete. There is transparency in fee breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes they do. But that depends on the situation that you are west bengal citizen or other states'. They provide you scholarships if you come under reserved category. There was rs 15000-25000 for each year.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is 7:3 for boys to girls, students parties are allowed on different events under the supervision of faculty of corresponding department, labs are good they are attentive to your attendance, there is no discrimination of any kind. Very less.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, hostel rooms were spacious, not so hi-fi but still have basic necessities. The room should be shared between 3-4 girls depending on rooms generally 3. If you don't opt for hostel then you can ask for PGs outside the college but College will not be responsible for your safety or any other facilities.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they are helpful, it depends on person to person but there os no such things like harassment or raging

Admission :

You have to take WBJEE examination and through that you will get a rank, according to that rank you get college as well as department. In first counselling you can go and submit 20000 rs which would be adjusted in fees, if you don't take admission you can withdraw that money before a given date.

Faculty :

The lecturers are good, helpful and degree holder from master's degree to PhD degree. Average age is 40-45. Some of them certainly have a good experience of working in industry or teaching in other reputed colleges. They make you understand properly what they teach, if you have any doubts you can go and ask them later in faculty room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.
