Remarks :
Life at YMCA University is super cool. It nurtures every student.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite satisfying in YMCA. The curriculum is well-groomed and designed by AICTE. YMCA strictly follows those guidelines. In each semester, there 6 dedicated subjects. Every student must have to complete at least one certification in any online course organized by NPTEL. In the 3rd and 4th semesters, there is an additional language subject for French or German. Every engineering student must have gone for 6 months of industrial training from a registered firm. CE/IT branches go in the 8th semester for industrial training and other branches in the 7th semester.
Placement Experience :
The overall ratio for placements is good enough. But the record for Computer Engineering and Information Technology touches the peak every year. The university doesn't provide any special steps to nourish the final year students, but the students are enough responsible to handle on their own.
College Events :
Elements Culmyca, 3 days technical-cultural festival for YMCA. Around 150 events are organized every year within 3 days. Pro nites include one-star night, one DJ night, and other Singing and Dancing battles. Each night is highly entertaining and comes with high zeal and zest. Events have the genre as Robotics, Coding, programming, dance, music, comedy, open mic, poetry, fun, and many others. Foundation/Fresher day is also celebrated every year on 16th September which is a one-day event full of fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Feasible fee structure. For engineering approx 31000 for each semester. That means 2.5 lakhs for complete graduation in engineering. Tuition fee for 23000, development fee 4000 and few other things. There is no additional fee throughout the engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid :
I didn't opt for any scholarship, the university provides a Tuition fee waiver (TFW) to the needy ones. That reduces the fees to a very little amount.
Campus Life :
In engineering, the gender ratio is pretty good. Labs are good enough furnished and well equipped. Sports are limited but the common sports are badminton, cricket, basketball, football and all other indoor games. You can only entertain the sports after 4 pm on working days and on a nonworking day anytime.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for PG/hostel. The average rentals per month nearby universities are around 6000 including basic all basic amenities and food. The market is very close to the university and is at walking distance and you can find any thing there.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni support the students. There is a social media society for YMCA alumni where Anyone can reach out to anyone.
Admission :
Admissions in YMCA University for Bachelor of Technology (Any Stream) are done from JEE Mains entrance exam. The applicants must have to apply on the HSTES portal. This is a counseling portal for Haryana engineering colleges. Applicants have to opt for YMCA as a top priority in the counseling portal. The rest of the details will be updated on the portal itself. The counseling and admission dates will be announced on sites and its website. The required documents will be mentioned there only. I opted for YMCA because I couldn't get any NIT's and I was quite sure that I will get CE/IT as a stream. Placements are good enough in YMCA this enchanted me more. And Placement records for CE/IT are mind-blowing every year. The college life in YMCA is good enough. Although the infrastructure is not cool. But that will be compensated by people you meet in engineering branches only and the societies.
Faculty :
Each lecturer in YMCA is at least postgraduate and most of them are pursuing Ph.D. in their respective field. Some of the teachers hold good industrial experience. The teachers in YMCA are friendly enough to resolve any doubt anytime and anywhere, if they fail to resolve it immediately then they resolve it later on and clear it. Any student can report to the chairman as well for any issue.
