Remarks :
Very nice college The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I joined in a college affiliated with Andhra University. We had a single semester in the first year, and since the second year we had two semesters per year. We have the exams on daily basis. A day an exam. Similar to the Ssc exam pattern.
Placement Experience :
Placements are ok good enough. Nearly 70 percent of the batch got placed. Most of the top multi-national companies like tcs, Infosys, Wipro, cognizant, and many other visited the college. I got even placed to Tcs, Infosys and syntel.
College Events :
Many cultural fests and technical fests have had been organized in the college. Also, many blood donation camps were organized and managed by the very students like me and many more. Fests related to sports meet also conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible. Not very expensive. It is reasonable enough. During my graduation, we had a fee structure of 35 thousand which is a reasonable and affordable amount. Luckily many of the students had even got fee reimbursed by the government.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't taken any loans. But I got a fee reimbursed by the state government considering my economical status. Apart from that, I even secured a good amount of scholarships based on academic excellence in the college level.
Campus Life :
Labs are good with large amounts of equipment to work in. Also as we are from the computers department, we have plenty of laboratories with systems provided to each student. The infrastructure at the lab is maintained well beat.
Hostel Facilities :
No. I have not opted for the college hostel. The college is 40-minute journey from my house. So I used to travel by college bus. But from my friends who stayed at college came to know that the hostel infrastructure is good enough but the food needs to be improvised.
Alumni/Alumna :
No. Nothing. There are no alumni groups or clubs provided. But we used to seek the support and the career guidance from seniors in college time also through social media and through phone calls and other possible ways
Admission :
A student’s record in and outside the high school classroom demonstrates to an admissions officer the kind of contributions he or she will make at the college level. Colleges are looking for candidates who perform consistently well or show a record of improvement in rigorous or college-prep courses. This means the right coursework, good grades, and activities that have a positive impact should be a continuous focus throughout high school.
Faculty :
The faculty is good and qualified enough with appropriate teaching knowledge. We might not have much practical experience as we are from a computers science background, but coding standards are maintained during teaching.
