A short review on my college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college believes in interactive learning and hence has seminar sessions and combined learning programs with expert professionals. The subjects need a lot of reading and writing skills, and the student needs to remember a lot of this, it is not as complex as it sounds, once we are good with concepts we are safe.

Placement Experience :

We are supposed to be interning with a law firm, a judge, or any government/non-government organization before the recruitment to know and experience what a workplace feels like. There are a lot of organizations that come here for recruiting, government organizations like UNDP, UNICEF and some well-known organizations like Kotak, Indian Oil, ICC come here during the campus drive. Most of the students are recruited.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The total fee is Rs. 6.35 Lakhs, the first year fee is Rs. 1.33 Lakhs and the fees for the rest (four years) is 1.26 lakhs. This does not include the hostel. This is feasible as most law college charge so much for the semester even. Educational loans can be availed by the students if they find any difficulties in paying the fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Students from lower economic background have a scholarship opportunity, the government pays for their tuition and hostel. There is a fee waiver for students who are needy or deserving by the college. The students who have studied in Delhi will have an after-school scholarship as well.

Campus Life :

We have both sports and cultural activities, which we enjoy being a part of, we have intercollege competitions for sports like football and basketball, we have occasional parties. In cultural we take part in dance and music shows. There are regular seminars on academic topi taken by experts, which is very useful for our career.

Admission :

I had to write the AILET examination for getting admissions into this college, I scored well in both the exam and my boards, I was shortlisted based on those two marks and was called for admission process. I applied online for the course after my results came.

Faculty :

All the faculties here are world-class and so are their teaching methodologies, they are well-trained professionals in their field, some have experience working in the firms too. We have core staffs as well as visiting staffs, both of them are equally approachable about any academical queries.

Placement Experience:

There is not much scope in campus placement . As it is a course with large no. of student. You can start after internship after 1st year. You can go for state judicial services exam after LLB,or go for litigation. In initial days there is struggle for a small time but if you have a good drafting ,speaking, skills you can ace in this profession.

Placement Experience:

Mostly third year students are eligible for placement. Some of the companies visited in year 2024 are kotak mahindra bank, craft legal outsourcing pvt. Ltd. Average package is 5 lakhs. Only 1-5 students are selected. I want to work in corporate law, I am currently searching for internship in this field.

Remarks:

The college has definitely been a good experience but due to mis-management in the appointment of faculty & poor placement record the college has suffered on various counts. There should be a strong initiative to fill up these vacancies and bring top firm
