Shilpa P's Review On Jaya College Of Paramedical Sciences, College Of Pharmacy, Thirunanravur

Remarks :

The college needs to develop a bit of more infrastructure such as hostel, few labs etc., so as to accommodate according to the needs of the student. It also needs to focus on providing better and more placement opportunities to its students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course curriculum is spread over a period of 4 years. Its main focus is to educate students in detail about medicinal and non-medicinal drugs, its uses and also the career that students can pursue in them. Lab sessions are frequent but they aren't as such hectic.

Placement Experience :

The college needs to up their placement facility and provide more and better placement opportunities to the students. While companies to visit to recruit students, its no much in number and the pay scale is also relatively less.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The tuition fee for this course is feasible. Its INR 112000 for four years of education and has to be paid in installments semester wise, so it is feasible for the student to pay this amount. However, this is only the tuition fees.

Campus Life :

The college organizes extracurricular activities such as creative events, sports events, etc on an annual basis so that students participate in things beside academics and enjoy other aspects of college life.

Admission :

Students need to have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent education from a recognized institute to be eligible to apply for this course. Interested students can fill in the application form with required details and submit it to the college office along with required registration fees.

Faculty :

The faculty members of this college are great counsels and teachers to their students. They guide students not only in academics but also about their future and what they can pursue based on their respective interests in the field.

Placement Experience:

Last year students were eligible for placements. Good companies like Bharat Petroleum and other companies visit here but it is advisable not to get placements as the salary is very low. It's advisable for b.pharm students to go into m.pharm into a different college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy is a promising field offering research opportunities and other jobs when trained properly. The student: staff ratio is 10:1. All the faculties are postgraduates with a handful of experienced Ph.D. professionals with industrial exposure and contacts. Their teaching will be reasonable and more self-study is required. Exams were twice a year usually in the months of march and October.
