Best college for Liberal Arts

Remarks :

I completed my BA Hons. in Liberal Arts from JDSoLA, with good percentage. I enjoyed the whole course duration, made alot of friends and learnt alot during my education period. The teachrs were wuite supportive and the college had decent infrastructuyre.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college is in affiliation from NMIMS University and follows all the guidelines and syllabus, drafted by the university. The college also holds timely evaluations apart the main examination, as surprise tests or internal examinations. The syllabus contains all the basic environmental science, political science and arts, humanities subjects.

Placement Experience :

JDSoLA being a new college has quite low placements. Though the college aims in compensating for it in the coming years, I also noticed that more people got placed this year than the last. Some off-campus facilities also provide internship opportunities for students to earn during their coursework.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee for my BA Hons. Liberal Arts were around Rs. 4.5 lakh charged per annum. The total fee for my whole course duration was around Rs. 14-15 lakhs which is quite expensive, but the type of facilities and the college's focus on one stream compensates for it.

Campus Life :

The college actively organised and support students in taking part in co-curricular activities to help their managerial and creative sides to mature and provide all-round development to the students. The college has well-equipped computer labs to help the students in enhancing their technical skills. Wifi is available in the whole campus and AC classrooms with projectors are facilitated for better learning.

Admission :

The college has a strict admission process and takes admission through merit list of NMIMS-NPAT. Students are not eligible to take admission here, without appearing for NPAT. After securing a seat for JDSoLA via NPAT, a personal interview and an interview are mandatory at college. I cleared the interview with ease and performed well in the written test too. After that, I carried on with my admission process by filling different forms and submitting a part of my fee.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is pretty strict and some are quite friendly and help us grasp the hardest of topics which are complicated. The teachers are quite experienced and highly qualified in their fields

I choosen this Idol University because I have to prepare for upsc and I wanted a hassle free college life so I can focus on my upsc syllabus and surely it worked. Course which was offered in the university was even helpful and easy to read. I haven't read any blog while selecting this college I just watched some upsc toppers interview and finally I made decision to get admitted in idol where I can save plenty of time to accelerate my upsc preparation and I am happy because my plan worked.

I have no idea about placements but there is surely a placement cell in the college. There are teachers who provide us with the contacts of the alumni of our college to seek their help and guidance. We also have an entrepreneurship cell in the college.
