Remarks :

All was good excpet the fcat that the Mnagament was a top down order, with not too many avenues of intercation with the Sr managament. Security was also an issue owing to being an all girls academy. The miscreants outside gates were deplorable and complains regarding the same to internal management were not acted upon.

Entrance Preview :

English Honors - I opted for this inspite of a Scinece background in higher secondary because of my passion for the language. The prestigious course in Miranda hOuse entailed a written basic english test - which sieves individuals with creative english abilities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Electives across the 3 yrs entailed Shakespearn & well as Victorian english and also entailed a subsidiary subject. I opted for Philosophy as a subsidiary owing to my secondary interest in psychology.

Internships Opportunities :

Various MNC's came for campus recruitment for internship and part time recruitment. The stipend varied from 500 -1000 Rs/day depending upon the level of involvment and the work hours.

Placement Experience :

placement & Job opportunities at the Bachelors leven in humanities across Delhi Universuty are dismal. Only a few of us were selected by Creations and advertising agencies. With average salaries of apprx. 3-4 lacs pa.

College Events :

The MH Culture Club was the apex body and prganized many a events which aere funfilled, interactive and memorable. The Alumni get togthers were also a splendid learning experience and insightful.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. Not just feasible but inexpensive I would say. With quality DU eduaction being imaprted at a modest fee. The academic fee for a yr was close to 30, 000 per annum. The Fee was a modest academic fee as stupulated and laid down by delhi University. The fees are amongst the lowest in the country however any bachelors form DU warrants good credibility. There was a differential in a Pass course versus an Honors Course - of approximately 12-15%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, scholarships were available at the discretion to the faculty and dean. Loans were freely facilitated leading nationalised banks at prevalent rates. Additionally, waivers were also gievn on case to case basis.

Campus Life :

I was in a Girls College - therefore cross gender engagement was limited to co curricular, cultural and sports prgrams and initiatives. The annual fests were a great learning and fun experience wherein every individula student was encouraged to participate.

Hostel Facilities :

I was Day's scholar but was told that the accomodation was superb with working basic amenities. The food was unpleasant though.

Alumni/Alumna :

Vey proactive alumni and there were bi annual talks by emminent alumni. The interactive sessions were very informative and left a memorable impression.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure was very liberal with exams at the end of each symester only. Assignments that were periodoc were not stressful either.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum offers to understand how the world works or how India works , also let us know about the philosopers who brought the revolutionary thought to transform the world This curriculum make us aware about the fundamental duties we have, so in real life no one can mistreat us. Also let us know about the policies of the gov so we can take out the benefit in our real life I think the improvement should be more indian philosopers and their philosophy should be included in this curriculum The exams are moderate but they are quite lengthy, so u have to manage that how much time you have to give to per question

In the second semester, I was given an interview for an internship within college..that required IT skills that one must possess to avail of such benefits. I'm not sure about it as it is known mostly among commerce students I have heard about a highest package of 18 lakhs and an average of 10 lakhs I will be pursuing an MA in my course and going for civil services.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Students can avail themselves of the placement opportunities from the fifth semester. I have been selected as a content writer in the fifth semester. I was offered a 4.6 LPA in the esteemed company. More than 40 percent of students end up doing getting jobs. I have decided to earn some experience as a content writer and then apply for the MA journalism program.

Placement cell works very hard for the college. Companies come on the fest day of the placement cell. We just have to dress up well and get our CV and give interviews.

Remarks:

Companies like Wi-Fi and labs are well-organised. However, the classrooms are not much good in condition. The library is in good condition, but the sports and medical facilities are low. Labs are available in good condition. The food available in the canteen is not that poor, but its quality is not that good.
