All over it was good experience.Drinking Water facility has to improve

Course Curriculum Overview :

Good faculties. Infrastructures is average. But compared to other colleges I heard this college has good infrastructure for biotechnology department. Principal is cooperative. Exams schedules are fine. Teaching is elaborative. Practicals are research oriented. But placement wise not good. Atleast for our batch it was disappointing.

Placement Experience :

Biocon, syngene, some dry labs. In 20 students 2 or 3 students get selected in last batch. And in our batch only 1 to 2 students from 31. On Placements college has to work on. As students choose college on the basis of placement facility.

College Events :

Many more events like cultural program like oxfoegnit, flash mob, fashion show, each Dept has its own events for a week. All the students can take part it. It's really fun. Apart from that invites guests, research speakers for presentation. Conference, workshops will be there.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

If admission happens thourough university it is feasible, but managment quota is costly, it's 2,20,000 for a course of 2years. College has to inform about university quota to the students according to there academic marks. Or atleast has to start admission by merit list.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I applied for education loan. College provided me an application with fee structure. I submitted it to the bank and my bank gave me check with yearly fee amount.

Campus Life :

More girls were there in my batch. But overall it was equal regarding all the parameters. college is not entertaining any kind of racism, ragging etc. Strick rules are there to follow. Management personally takes care about all the issues and try to solve as soon as possible.

Hostel Facilities :

No, I have not opted. But hostel facility is average. Rooms are spacious. As PG is preferable. Rent is starting 5000/month for 4 sharing. Depending on sharing it increases. 3 time food, wifi, hot water, etc available. Deposit will be 1 month rent.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Not really. As placement is not up to the mark many senior scattered in different areas as per the availability. So unable to contact them and no source to contact thourough college. So it was great difficulty to be in touch with senior for placements.

Admission :

Admission directly thourough college as management quota. Filled admission form along with half fee. Submitted the academic certificates. After qualification I got the admission. But people can go thourough university. As nobody informed me about university admission process I couldn't do so. And pad more fee though I was having good marks.

Faculty :

All Lecturers were highly qualified. Ready to help. Teaching is good. Concepts with examples. Understanding language and simple method. Both board method as well as ppt method. Motivates to take part in workshops, conferences. Attendance is compulsory in each lecture.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the subject. Mainly I like the subject biotechnology it has many sub-subjects to study. Faculty members are not good but we should adjust. Students are approximately around 60. Faculty member's qualification is good but the way they teach is not proper because sometimes I don't understand the language itself. And there will be sudden tests and internals we won't get proper time to study only.

I didn't took any entrance test.

Admission:

Got the form directly from the college office, filled the form and submitted the application, waited for the selection list for interview, attended the interview, then waited for the list of selected students. I got in! The process was straight forward and transparent.

Remarks:

All in all Jain University is a great college but the school of graduate studies needs some improvement. Students spend a majority of their time in college and it's sad when that environment is uncomfortable and below a certain standard. The management also need to learn to treat students as adults no matter how ill behaved some might get- and respect their space and behave in a way that shows respect. Watching management course and threaten definatly doesnt help.
