Best University for Legal Studies

Remarks :

There are almost every good in the Chandigarh University but strict attendance rules somewhere feels annoying.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good and dynamic as per industry requirement. University adds new papers as per industry requirements and this helps student in getting better placement; I have been taught those paper which is not being taught to nearby any university that is why sometimes I feel fortunate to be a student of the Chandigarh University.

Placement Experience :

Placement department is good, it is the full-time department and it supports students from the first semester to last, initially, it helps students in getting a better internship and later it helps students in getting a better placement. their mock interview test are best.

College Events :

There are number of events in the university depending upon various departments i.e. UILS (university institute of legal studies) organised following events: Global law conference National Moot Competition National Debate Competition National Trial Advocacy Essay Competition and Cultural competition etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure of the university is flexible, one can pay fee in installments or can pay fee using online electronic platform. As per my knowledge there are no additional fee. Yes University is transparent in providing fee breakdown to the students for various purpose.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No I did not opted for Hostel. yes University offer various types of Scholarship facility to students for both poor students as well as to meritorious students. It is from 20% to 100%

Campus Life :

Campus life is happening life. I have enjoyed University life in Chandigarh University. There is good gender ratio almost 60/40. There are number of cultural clubs and there are students from more then 50 countries. Almost students are from all ethnic, religious groups and economic level.

Alumni/Alumna :

There is good alumni network, Alumni visits the University on regular basis as University invites them to share their success stories to young ones.

Admission :

Initially, When I took admission there was no entrance test, one could use clat scorecard or have better marks could get admission but now they have a common entrance test named CUCET. One could register online for the admission and if get a good score can get admission.

Faculty :

Faulty of the UILS department are well-qualified maximum are PhD and UGC-JRF and NET qualified and they also have good experience in academics as well as industry and practice experience, that is why students get best lectures given by the subject experts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is not that well designed. The Subjects are not being taught for real-world applications. Especially B.Com LLb is being taught as unwillingly. They don't care for B.com LLb students at all. Teachers available for B.com are very poorly qualified as compared to B.A LLb Teachers. Frequency of Exams is good. But Presentations can be a bit Time Consuming.

PhD holder teacher with good experience and good guidance. Every week there is one competition like a moot court or quiz or others. They just need to make this university a central university. If students gift with 12 th then they are able to clear easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly, the university provides for all types of law, BA, BBA or BCOM and the fees are very reasonable compared to other private colleges. UILS focuses on both academics and curriculum activities like moot court, and various types of competitions for skills development. But the only major issue is that, we have classes the whole day with just a one hour recess. from 9:30 till 4:20. It exhausts the students, after which the entire day is considered as waste
