Remarks :

LM Thapar is a pretty awesome place in terms of academics and faculty support. The infrastructure and the placements still have a lot of scope of improvement, but overall it's a nice place to pursue post-graduation if a fee is one of your issues.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was good. Most of the learning was through the case study medium, which was an effective way of teaching. The curriculum covered a wide array of topics from a managerial perspective. The level of understanding of the course curriculum was enhanced by such an efficient way of teaching.

Placement Experience :

Placements are decent here, but still have a lot of room for improvement. Our college is dedicated to placing the maximum possible students. They organize many personality developments and soft skill development sessions on the campus. Hyundai, Kelloggs, MRF, Nestle, Philips India, TATA Consultancy Services, etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus during my batch.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

My fee structure was around INR 4.4 Lacs, which was nominal for an MBA degree. I became an MBA graduate at around 8 lacs. Our college is providing an excellent opportunity for the students who don't have resources to fulfil their dreams of higher studies with some great returns on their investment.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are available for the meritorious students who excel in academics and maintain consistency. Students from a reserved category receive a mandatory fee relaxation. They just have to present the relevant documents.

Admission :

You have to appear for the CAT exam which is an entry-level management test for admission to an MBA program in any college in the country. Students clearing the entrance test are then invited for a counselling round which includes interview round and document verification round.

Faculty :

The faculty was good and pretty informative. They would teach us mostly with the ppts or by giving assignments. And conducting class discussion after that. They all had suitable qualifications for their area of specialization.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Sometimes semester exam will be conducting soon before time. In that case students can't prepare better and score unexpected marks in their exams But faculty members were very helpful they cover all the topics so it can help the students for preparation

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placements they offer majorly in Marketing and HR. That doesn't mean other specializations are not good but as compared to Marketing and HR they have fewer campus placement opportunities. The average package is around 3.5 LPA and the highest offered is 32 LPA. The highest package that students secure was 13 lpa offered by Federal Bank. Other than this some companies also offers around 7 LPA like Burger Pints and Asian Paints.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opt for MBA in chandigarh university for various reasons. One of the main reason is this that curriculum is highly updated with the current trend. That's the main reason As I mention above curriculum is highly updated . The only problem is this . That they can involve more practical aspect so that we can relate more with the real world . There frequency of exam in every two months

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good only. Like I'm doing MBA, on first year we studied all the subjects - finance, marketing, HR, supply chain, everything. There were subjects that weren't that good and most students found them to be irrelevant one such subject was management lessons from ancient India.

Again course curriculum gets updated after each semester and required subject are added or removed according to need. however the course content is old which needs to be updated. They can improve there methods by keeping a feedback channel always open.

Remarks:

UBS is a good college but not extraordinary. If you are willing to put your best effort them this is for you and if you are thinking that you are going to depend on your professors then don't come here. It's not par with IIM ofcourse, discussion of case studies will always depend upon the professor you got. Don't expect much. Good ROI definitely. So if you are happy with an average placement and don't want to take too much stress then this college is for you. But I'm repeating don't left IIM for UBS if it's not necessary.
