Remarks :

A good place to study and express yourself. Apart from studying you have a lot of options with extra activities and projects also. The position of our college is very close to Kolkata which is also a plus point.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is divided into 4 years or 8 semesters. And we have two internal exams and two assignments in every semester based on the syllabus covered so far. Labs and classes are frequent and we have a lot of opportunities for projects or research.

Placement Experience :

We have a great Training and Placement Cell at our college. Various companies come to our college and offer multiple jobs to our students. Our college has also referred us to do internships under good company or under our renowned alumni. From our batch of 60 students, almost 35 students are in good companies with good internships.

College Events :

Technical fest called Techtics. Annual cultural festival Exotica. And annual fest Espektro. Now around 25 colleges participate in our fest. And it is one of the biggest well-known college fests so far. This year we expect around 40 events to be organized and more than 50 colleges to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As it is a government college fee structure is very much affordable for any kind of people. Admission fees are around 4000. And the semester fee is 6000 for our course. And 3000 or 12000 for some brand also. And no other fee is required.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, definitely scholarships are available in our college. Scholarships are often given on the basis of merit lists and to those who are family, income is limited to abound. There is no loan facility provided by the college so far but anyone can get a loan easily from any bank.

Campus Life :

Ok, there is a lot of extracurricular activities in our college. We have different clubs on different subjects for extracurricular activities to organize many competitions or to grow interested among students. There is also an active sports club to organize sports programs. The gender ratio Male to Female is around 5:1.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, a hostel facility is available here. And we have different hostels for Junior and seniors. As a hostel is also a government hostel rent is also cheap. It costs about 2000 or less per month. And the hostel is enough for students. But if anyone wishes to stay PG's then it will cost almost 4000 per month.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

There is a big network among students and Aluminium in our college and they contact with us and help us to understand about Jobs or internship. Senior students are also helpful and react friendly to Juniors. So there is a good relationship between alumni, seniors, and juniors in our college.

Admission :

There is an entrance exam called WBJEE. And I scored a 2.5k rank in that. After counseling, I got to this college. And that exam is only for B tech. So I choose this course. And B tech in CSE is now most top course also.

Faculty :

The facilities of our college are very qualified and dignified. We have a number of professors in every department. They are very friendly to us and attend classes at their best. They also take us to various internships and help us to understand so.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
