Remarks :

I have only negative remarks. As a student pursuing in this college I am trying to complete my course as much as possible and run away from this college No culturals no sports no extra events nothing in this college No good staffs nothing

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mechanical engineering is a good course. There are many opportunities in and outside india. You can go to research field after taiking PG in it. Pondicherry university is conducting our exam. Exams are in semester wise each semester have almost 6 theory papers and 3 labs. Both theory and lab exams are conducted within our college

Placement Experience :

Placements are there but not much only few companys are coming I can say only 20 % placement are getting to our college students There are no internship are provided by college. Students have to find internship independently

College Events :

Actually there are No regularly events Only 1 or 2 events in a year. The main event is RECO FEST which do not occur yearly it occur Only one year or two year gap. There are no regular sports day no cultural events for students. I am a 3rd year student in this college and last year there where no evnts are contected at all

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible for CENTAC students. But for management students the fees are expansive They are asking up to 1 lakh without including the donation. In the fee there is 10000 for placement and training But it is not conducting properlly

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a scholarship called CENTAC but it is not offered by college. It is pondicherry government scholarship to all pondicherry resident students. There are no loan provided by college. The centa scholarship is good for students

Campus Life :

There are no extracurricular activities on our college sports day are conducted in a gap of one there is no good playground or equipments for sports. In sports day no athelatics are conducted only few indore games only. No politics are allowed in the college even there is no students union. They have there on made rules inside the campus

Hostel Facilities :

I am not an hosteler but my friends are. the hostel fee is 60000 in annum The hostel food is very bad and the rooms are also very bad. Thats why not much students are staying in hostel Some days food is very bad my friends are order from outside and eat I am staing outside by taiking a room in rent the rent is 6000 shared by my 2 friends.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Some senior students are getting good jobs they are coming to college to interact with us and tell us to what to do next after completing the course. But the number of them coming is less only one or two

Admission :

I like to be an engineer so I choose mechanical engineering and the admission to this college is getted by a scholarship provided by pondicherry government its called CENTAC it is only for pondicherry resident students. They are selecting by our twelth marks

Faculty :

In my department there are almost 15 faculty most of them are studied up to MTech and 1 Phd faculty is there which is our HOD All are average in there teaching skills Some of them are not completing the syllabus and giving us notes to go and study at home Now I am pursuing my 6th semester in this college in this semester the faculty memberes are going to other colleges to take classes without completing our syllabus. The staffs are saying its management is sending us to that college because of sttaffs are at strike in that college

Unsaid truth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is pretty easy to cope up with , so that u get more time to prepare for other exams. Curriculum is prepared in such a way that it makes u ready to appear for gate and other similar exams. Provide more technical knowlegde related to subjects mentioned in the gate syllabus. There are 2 class test exams and then one final semester exam.

National institute - advantages and disadvantages

Placement Experience:

The college gives good placements for mostly all of the branches and you can get an average package of 12 lakh per annum. Getting a placement in civil might be difficult unless you study hard and do some good internships. Mechanical and computer science has good placements compared to other branches
