Remarks :

Apart from the infrastructure, the college in all is really good with amazing faculty, food and students. The alumni network is really strong. The college has a strong support by Dr. Indu Shahani, the former sheriff of Mumbai. The number of clubs that the college has makes sure that every student can pursue their hobby/interest/sport.To sum it up, it has been an amazing experience.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was really good. It covered most of the basics of Financial Markets. It can help in creating a good base for someone who wants to make a career in Finance. Lectures were frequent and hectic. Due to recent changes, the exam structure (which was earlier decided by the college) is now decided by the University of Mumbai.

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunities are provided by the college. There's a desginsted team known as the Placement Cell which works throughout the year. H.R. College sees one of the best employers on campus. From Big4's to leading Banks to marketing companies, students get opportunities across various fields. Stipend is usually around 3-4 lakhs p.a. It can go upto 6 lakhs p.a.

College Events :

H.R. College has different clubs handling different kinds of festivals. Rotaract Club does various things like organizes Cultural Festivals, Social Projects, etc. Choice has a team of dancers for participating in other colleges' cultural events. The investment club participates in Finance and Economics festivals. Every individual can join the club (there are around 20-30 clubs) and every club celebrates each and every festival in their own way apart from coming together and celebrating as a college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees is to be paid semester wise. There are 6 semesters and the fees is around 20k for unaided courses. For aided courses, it is around 5k. Due to the college being under government, the fees is standardized across categories. The fees is feasible for some specific categories.

Fees and Financial Aid :

There is no scholarship or loan facility that I have heard of. Due to lower fees for junior college which was around Rs. 1000 annually and for degree college which was around Rs. 16000, college did not provide any scholarship. But there are some programs where the college offers scholarship post degree for foreign universities.

Campus Life :

Extra curricular activities are amazing. The college truly promotes all types of sports. We have had national champions from our college and have got support from faculty for their academics. There is no politics or ragging in our college. There a lot of cultural societies and every occasion is celebrated (festival, valentines, chocolate week). We have an annual international trip also. In all, the extra curricular activities are very good.

Hostel Facilities :

I did not opt for Hostel. But there are a few Hostel Options near college. Ex. Indians Student Hostel. I'm not really sure about the rates but the canteen is very affordable and an average meal does not cost more than Rs. 100.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our college boasts of a very strong Alumni. Ranging from industrialists to Bollywood actors, there alumni network is really strong. The alumni keep coming back to college to give us an insight about our future path. The seniors and alumni have been a constant pillar of our college and the interaction that I have had with them at various stages in my college life have helped me grow.

Admission :

The admission process is simple. For junior college, you have to put your preferences and you get your college allotted as per your preference and percentage. For degree college, one has to buy forms for various degrees. There are three merit lists and if your name is there in any of them, you have to secure your admission.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is really qualified. We have market experts and professionals from the industry come and teach us. Some of the permanent faculty members are PhD. The teachers are really supportive and assist the students in every way possible.

Bcom is a common coarse I was doing a competitive coarse side by side that's why I choose bcom because if a person doing plain bcom there is very less chance to get a good job and salary because there is very less job in the market and they provide very less salary u have to do any other good coarse after bcom or side by side

A Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) is useful if you want to pursue higher education in finance or enter the accounting field. However, if you are considering a future career in law, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) would be more beneficial They should give a placement
