College review

Remarks :

My college is environmental friendly. It is no tobacco zone. It has dustbin around every corner. The class rooms are always clean & tidy. The faculty or lecturer are very punctual & the students are obedient.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course Curriculum is very satisfied as it is determined by Nagaland University. The course is divided into six (6) semester. Exam structure, Internal marks is 30, it includes 10 marks for preparing a project report, 10 marks for public speaking & 10 marks for written class test. It is conducted during class hours. External exam, It is conducted every six (6) months for 70 marks in each paper.

Placement Experience :

There is no placement or job opportunities. The college doesn't provide internship of any kind. Placement is out of question in my college. Job opportunities is not found at all. There's not a single company which conducts campus interview.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. There's no monthly tuition fees. There's only fees for each semester (6 months each) which includes Library fee 500, Admission fee 700, Tuition fee 500, Library development fee 500, Internal examination fee 150, Session fee 100, College development fee 800, Identity card 100, Students Union fee 100, Games & sports 150, College magazine 150, Water fee 100, Electricity 200, Nagaland university enrollment 50, Quality assurance fee 200.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college authority provide a stipend of rupees 200 each every month to those students whose parents incomes doesn't provide or cover their expenses. There's also a scholarship program sponsored by the Central & the State government for students whose parents incomes are less or equal to 80000 annually.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio is 3 females per 1 male students. Class picnic is conducted by collecting some amount from the students who are going to the picnic. There is gender equality, Race equality, Freedom of religion.

Admission :

I choose commerce because I like solving complex problems & managing & decision making. Admission process, Prospectus is given to a student who got 55? or more in the previous examination i. e. , Class 12th. Entrance exam is conducted in order to allot Major or Honours paper to a student who opted to take major paper. The first forty students who got more marks than others in the entrance exam is selected to take up Accounting & Financing as their major paper.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college are all well qualified. They are all post graduate & B.Ed. They are well trained, they also went to training time to time. They are all specialist in the paper they teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a commerce student and to be honest the course curriculum is quite hectic. I opted for Accounting and Finance honors which are considered as one the toughest in the college, but maybe because of my interest in subjects I didn't really face problems with any particular subjects like I use to hear about from the seniors. The faculty is one of the best in the state, they are highly educated professors and I always think that students like us who cannot afford private colleges are very fortunate to have such qualified and experienced professors. You will not find any professors with only 2-3 degrees in their names. With their experiences comes their interesting way of teaching. Sometimes it feels unreal that such professors are teaching in our college. I can gladly say that the government did justice to the students like me. The exams are held twice every semester which are internal exams and external exams. Apart from there are public speaking and research reports.
