My KIAMS Review

Remarks :

KIAMS does not give you the cliche B-school lavish infrastructure, what it does give you is the opportunity to realize your corporate aspirations with no-frills - value learning through actual practical teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Placement Experience :

There is a dedicated placement wing that works towards placements, domain-specific-mentorship, peer-based learning which is an essential part of the rigorous everyday itinerary of any typical KIAMS alumni. The institute has an excellent record of placements and has incorporated leadership talk series by eminent industry veterans. AMAZON, KANTAR, PATANJALI, HDFC, HFFC etc. were the top recruiters. The highest package secured by a student from our batch was around 15 LPA. On average, students secure a salary package of 4 LPA.

College Events :

The gender ratio is not that good in our college, but the institute is trying to raise the gender ratio. Life at KIAMS is bonding over with people over assignments, keeping up with the exhaustive deadlines, match screenings, parties and learning new things every day.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is pretty flexible and affordable in comparison to MBA programs offered by other B-Schools. I paid around 7 lacs for my two-year program. Placements provided are also good, thus the ROI of the college is pretty great. On top of that, the facilities provided are pretty lavish. Institute offers amenities like wi-fi connectivity throughout the campus, centrally air-conditioned rooms, sports facilities, accommodation facilities, etc.

Campus Life :

Numerous sports activities, festive celebrations, cultural celebrations, etc. Guest lectures are also conducted on a regular basis so that students can easily relate to the theoretical learning being fed in the classes. The guest lectures are especially insightful since they are majorly focused on the latest advancement in the different sectors. One such lecture which I attended was on the impact of GST on Indian Import Export culture.

Alumni/Alumna :

The institute has a vast network of alumni making their mark across different domains. Our institute maintains a close relationship with them. They held regular Alumni sessions where the respective alumni would share their success stories in order to motivate the students for good.

Admission :

Any graduate is eligible for the 2-year admission program offered by the KIAMS. Students have to apply at the official college website with all academic details and attend the counseling process with the original documents. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of a number of factors like entrance exam scores, academic performance, work experience, etc.

Faculty :

All of our faculty members were pretty educated and intellectual. We got to learn valuable insights from them through case simulations, participatory interactions with the faculty which lends a subtle value to the knowledge base of the student. The case study analysis and guest lectures were the most insightful learning elements of the curriculum.

The college is known for its placement. Almost most of the students are assured placement towards the end of the MBA. Even during the summer internship, they attract good companies which ultimately hires the students after they complete their Internship. So far, the college has an excellent record when it comes to placement and job opportunities
