Kgec

Remarks :

To get admission in this college you need to have a good rank in any of the entrance exam be it state exam or aieee. Another positive point is the fees is very less of this college as as this is a government college negative point I could say is the faculty is not as good as of the private A tier engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Kgc follows WBUT pattern. curriculum is very easy I was a few just study for one month I would say you can easily scored a 7 pointer. but most important thing is to hone your skills like more practical you do it would be beneficial for you to get job.

Placement Experience :

TCS was the main rather dream company of our college. I am not very sure about the companies visiting in the core branches like mechanical electrical or electric but still almost 80% of the student gets placed every year.

College Events :

real we have tech fest in our college which is joined by many students of other universities and other colleges that is a very fun filled event which includes robotics quizzing based quiz gaming competitions treasure hunts dance competitions dance shows extra.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

This is one of the most cheapest colleges of WBUT. When I did the college it was only 6000 per semester. I am not very sure about the fee structure now. Still whatever it might have increased to will be under reach of any normal guy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not very aware of the scholarship facilities of our college as the fees itself is very low. still I know there are few programs by which the backward classes like SC ST OBC they get some fees waived off so you need to contact the office for that.

Campus Life :

There is a common game room apart from that in the first you can participate in various competitions like robotics, games, quiz. Also you can hone your passion like photography, cinematography, dancing acting.

Hostel Facilities :

I join the college in second year and I didn't opted for the hostel because I wanted to live freely so I along with my four friends shared flat and that was also good experience but out suggest that if your joining the college at least you should have at least you spend one year then only you will be able to know the good and bad side of the hostel life.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they organize annual alumni meet. Most of the alumina are at very respectable positions. they try to help others whenever contacted contacted and also if you do a good networking with your seniors and your friends so that will also help you in your career.

Admission :

I joined the college in 2nd year through lateral entry. Normal procedure is you give joint entrance of state level or national level. you have to be at the top ranks to get admission in this college.

Faculty :

like other places here also not all the faculties are very good but still there are some who are really good in their skills of what they teach. So you can expect mix bag of feelings for the faculty in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.
