Remarks :
First of all the teachers are very helpful. They help us in every way possible for them. Academics are excellent. They provide extra curricular activities. In evening they provide study hours where a student can ask any teacher about his doubt and can study in classroom.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was great their. Those were nearly the same syllabus which we are studying in post graduation. At our time university theory exams and practical exams were of 50 marks each. The lab facilities in that college is good enough for a graduation course. Only the disappointment was that the University was not that good.
Placement Experience :
Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech-Mahindra, etc recruit from there but I wanted to do post graduation, so i didn't attended the campus recruitments. When I was there no internship was provided but I am sure that soon they will provide internship.
College Events :
For a student who is good in extracurricular activities, this institution is best. They will reach you to participate in inter University, inter college and inter hostel activities. They also make a tour for educational purpose.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Before taking admission I searched for the fee structure. I look out at the website of vikash. At that time i thought that the fee is little expensive. But I have to take the same course so I joined the college. But after joining the college my thinking got changed. The facilities justified the fee or i can say any other colleges with same facilities will take more fee. Hence the fee structure is feasible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As my father is a govt teacher so I never got any scholarship. So i have no knowledge about the scholarships. But I have listened from the friends that the govt of Odisha provide some scholarships which can be availed by filling forms if you are eligible. For that the teachers reach us and tell about the scholarships.
Campus Life :
Vikash is a institution which is favourable for girls students. This institution is very secure. So the ratio of girls is more than boys. The college is politics free. No political activities are performed inside the college. As we all know unity in diversity, this college gives same treatment to students of all gender, race, religion.
Alumni/Alumna :
We are connected with our seniors and juniors socially. When we were in final semester we asked our seniors about the post graduation courses and the courses they have opted for. They explained us everything in detail. We are still connected to the institution by the WhatsApp and Facebook groups.
Admission :
I was interested in taking honours course on physics but the courses are available only in central university and in colleges of odisha. I gave entrance exam in central university of Chhattisgarh but didn't got selected. Then I came to know that honours course on physics is also available in odisha. Bargarh district of odisha was near to my house. It was well known to me about the reputations of Vikash. So I selected the college to study. The admission process is easy. Online you have to apply online forms in DHE Odisha website.
Faculty :
They are the experienced faculties. One of them is PhD from IIT Kharagpur. They teach you as a friend and helps you to solve all your problems. They not only teach us but also motivates us every time.
