Remarks :
There is nothing negative about my college except that the college's infrastructure isn't proper as the chairs and tables aren't sufficient and they're old too and the library needs to be renovated. Apart from that college transport must be arranged for students who come from a very far place. This can even ensure the safety of the students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I enjoy my course since i have interest on it. Most of my professors have doctorates in french. They are very kind and liberal too. During the three years of course, we have 6 semester exams in total. The number of subjects to be appeared for a semester exam varies everytime. We don't have any practical.
Placement Experience :
My college gives the a wide range of opportunities for jobs. Yes, we do have campus interviews sometimes from MNC like amazon. Especially our departmen, as we deal with languages we have so many job offers. Intership depends on the efforts of the student, our college doesn't offer it directly but it helps interested student by giving ideas. I have no idea about stipend as i haven't gone for any internship till now
College Events :
There are various events conducted in our college. For example, we celebrate pongal, ayudha pooja, holi and diwali as a family. Apart from that, every department has its uniqueness. We , the department of french, celebrate the french national day but conducting various competitions and performing many cultural programs. Like wise, the department of english, celebrate a week of english drams by performing them in open grounds for all the students to witness.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Yes ofcourse. Our college fees is very feasible. As it is a part of state government, the fees is nominal and suitable for all class of people. Most importantly, our college fees structure is framed on the basis of statutory quota requirements by the indian law.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, we have many scholarship options available for students. The scholarships are based on economic status, community, statutory requirements, first graduate of the family, sports and12th grade score.
Campus Life :
We have lots of extra curricular activities in our college. So many functions in each department are held in every semester. Our college management focus a lot on cultural events. We never fail to celebrate any indian festival. Our college is autonomous and it is directly linked to pondicherry university ( central government university ). We have ncc and nss operations in our college.
Hostel Facilities :
No, since i'am a resident of pondicherry, i didn't have the need of opting a hostel. And moreover our college doesn't have a boarding option. Boarding and transport facilities are two main drawbacks of our college. As many students from states study in our college, management should take these drawbacks seriously and do the needful for the convenience of other state students.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, the comments of my seniors and the alumni were really helpful for me to choose this college. Most of my seniors (who have graduated) have been placed as employees in good companies. Infact my mom and her sister are alumni of my college. No only them, but also all of their friends (who studied with them in this college) are in a good position and high in social ladder. Moreover few of them are even head of the department in our college and some are an important part in the management.
Admission :
To get admission in our college we first have to submit an application form along with photocopies our 10th and 12th marksheet (provisional), adhaar card and birth certificate. And then, they ( from the management ) will give a particular time slot for counseling. We have to approach them for counseling and our admission will be comfirm after the counseling.
Faculty :
The faculties of my college are well educated in their subjects. Most of them are phd scholars in various fields. While the rest are atleast post graduates. All of them are selected for this job through civil service exam conducted by the central government.
