My Oxford College Review

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our course curriculum was very dynamic, I would say. Theory to practical ratio is 35:65, which means more emphasis is paid towards practical learning since students can get hands-on experience regarding their personal growth and presentation skills. The library was another assisting factor in the quality of teaching that was being imparted there. My specialization was marketing, which also included studying sales and other subjects in brief.

Placement Experience :

Paypal, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Concentrix, etc. are some of the companies which visit our campus on a regular basis. Our college maintains close tie-ups with different organizations and invites them for the campus placements. They also offer personality development and soft development programs, which also include mock interviews, etc. The packages offered are also pretty great as well. Apart from the placement assistance, placement cell also assists in the personality development of the students. Average packages were around 3 LPA.

College Events :

Our college actively pushed students to maintain a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities. We participated in various activities like tree plantation, yoga day, photography competitions, etc. Sports day was celebrated once every year, and it was the most fun. I participated in the college volleyball team which won the silver medal at the annual sports day.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

One year fee during my batch was around 2 lakh and in total, I ended up paying 3.96 lakhs. I availed of a concession in the fee because of my merit in the entrance exam. Overall the facilities provided are pretty decent and even the day to day charges were minimal.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers many scholarship opportunities based on the marks scored in the qualifying exam. Students securing top spots in the university exams also receive monetary grants and other perks like fee concession. Apart from that, students belonging from an economically weaker background can also avail concession in fee.

Campus Life :

Campus life was pretty awesome at Oxford college. All sorts of different activities are organized on our campus. We celebrated many festivals on the college campus and made many friends. I won’t forget my days at Oxford College.

Admission :

Admissions to the MBA program are granted on the basis of entrance tests like KMAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ CAT, etc. I applied to the college with my KMAT scores and other academic details. Then I waited for the merit list. Fortunately, the cut off wasn't that high during my batch, so that helped. Then I appeared for the counseling process. After this, I was granted admission. The entire administration was very supportive throughout the admission process.

Faculty :

The faculty was supportive and offered guidance at each step. The level of experience they had was literally remarkable. Though some of them focus on wrapping up the syllabus, most of them were very helpful. But overall we had very good terms with our faculty members. They were very accessible and ready to help us with our queries.

Companies like Deloitte,PWC,EY,KPMG,Broadride,Storeking, trivago,My Captain,Indusland Bank, HDFC bank,Factset, Genpact,Cadbury,Manipal Hospitals and many more companies come for placement. Idk the exact percentage but mostly everyone gets a placement. I would join Deloitte after I receive my offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum from the university is transferred by the teachers in a digestive manner with all relevant example , live scenarios, case study activities and much more. The exams on average come after 3 months of a semester commencing , the difficulty towards the exam itself is moderate.

Placement Experience:

Placement Cell is very hardworking and they do provide placement support for all specializations but most of the jobs that are offered are marketing or customer support roles so it's always encouraged to look for job opportunities through other sources as well.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are excellent in Indus Business Academy. Alot of good companies come to the college for the placement and almost all the student get placed in a good company. iIf the student has payed attention in the classes and the tasks assigned then getting into a company is not difficult. The students start getting placed soon after the completion of first year. Compainies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Colgate, Bata , GT and other good companies come to the college every year for the placements every year. The average package offered by the companies is 6.5 CGPA and it may increase this year. The student placement is 100%. I have also been selected in Deloitte for tax profile.
