Remarks :
There tends to be a bit majority of easterns in the college. People get a bit offended very easily. But seniors here are very helpful and they really do help out. There will be no ragging like in other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite updated but could have been a bit more extensive in the practical stuff. The practical part tends to be a bit out of do focus. The course is well rounded and covers all the subjects. The exam is held in three parts. The internal marks which depend on the class attendance and quiz tests. Then comes the mid semester exam where a test on half the syllabus is taken. Then a end semester exam which covers the whole syllabus. The cumulative of all of these will serve the CGPA as per the score in respective grade point subject.
Placement Experience :
The college has a reputation for almost all people placed. Companies such as Robert Bosch tend to recruit a lot of people. Cognizant, Accenture and ma y other are mass recruiting companies. They tend to provide placements from the training and placement cell. The internship they provide is decided by the company to pay how much stipend.
College Events :
Kiit is full of events and activities. The biggest is KIIT fest. There all the departments have their own competitions and like electronics has line flowing bits And mirror maze, robowar and many such more. Theres eagles hunt where you search for certain stuff. There is a possibility of paintball championship. The best of the all is the three dj nights. This time Amit Trivedi and Ritviz are showing up. Things are quite lit.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees is a bit expensive. The tution fees is about 1.5 lakh per semester. They include all the subjects and their requirements. The books are provided by the university and they are they are quite high quality books. They instruments and other things too. The hostel fees is 20000 per semester for non ac, for ac it's 40000. And further additions if you want. There is laundry available for extra cost.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The college offers scholarships to students who score great in 12th standard and to the people who score the highest in their respective branches are offered a certain scholarship. Also people who score great ranks get scholarships.
Campus Life :
Every hostel has a sports facility with it they are equipped with basketball ground, badminton ground that too indoor. A fully functioning gym with great trainers and facilities. There is a great big pool which is atleast 7ft deep on the deeper end and 4 feet on the lower side. Regular competitions regarding football and cricket are held.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I've opted for hostel facilities. They are great. Rooms are kept clean and the security is well ensured. The people in the hostel are very helpful and they really help out. The food is great except for some days. And mostly acceptable. The delivery apps work quite great around here and are fast too.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni is actually very helpful and they can be easily connected on LinkedIn. They tend to give good life choices and they propel to look into the future of better stuff. A lot of them help in the final year project and a lot more.
Admission :
We registered for KIIT entrance exam which was free. We had to acre 60%in science subjects in 12th class. As per the score in the KIIT entrance exam they allocated your branch that you could get.you get here on the day to select your course and subject. So once you have completed that you come on the orientation day. Before that you have paid the admission fee. After admission you choose what of hostel you would like to stay in, and you would be allocated accordingly. Now on the day of admission you submit the required documents and collect your I'd card and get your hostel allocated and get your rooms accordingly.
Faculty :
The faculty is generelly very helpful and nice. They are committed to method teaching. While some are very boring and make you want to not attend their classes. Some are very nice and allow lineancy. Assignments are never checked properly but there are some teachers that will force you for assignments. Some tend to take a lot of tests. While others are very lineant regarding that. Overall the teachers are knowledgeable and great they tend to be a bit strict sometimes.
