Remarks :

College is excellent but some facilities like lab and internal transportation can improve a lot. The syllabus and course structure is good and the faculties are great. The library facilities are also excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Syllabus is basic, the course is semester based. Total 2 year course with 4 semesters. At the end of each semester there will be an end semester examination. Syllabus is slightly more than the UG syllabus but have covered all the biochemistry topics needed for CSIR.

Placement Experience :

I don't think any internships are provided. Placements and job opportunity is a little bit thin for our course as it is not a professional course but have plenty of opportunities in the research field.

College Events :

All the main cultural events are celebrated. Diwali Onam Durga Pooja etc. Also important days like wildlife day environment day are celebrated by various departments. Tech fest and department fests are also conducted every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is a bit more considering it is a central University. When compared with the other central universities the fee is more but affordable. Scholorship for meritorious students are available so fees can be afforded.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For meritorious students Scholorship are given based on rank. Close to 10000 per semester will be given to top rank holders. Don't know the details of Scholorship provided based on caste and minority quota.

Campus Life :

Lab facilities are a bit poor considering it is a central University and have immense funding. The practical syllabus is good. There is plenty of room for extracurricular activities. There will always be some kind of tournament or other. Cultural events are also conducted almost every week.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rates are pretty fair. For girls there is no room rent. Only mess fee have to be given,that is 65 rupees per day. For boys room rent of 900 is additionally given. Hostel facilities are excellent with 24 hr water and electricity connection, lift and high speed wifi.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are really helpful. They provide previous notes and question paper and always help with the lab work and projects. Senior phd students handle the lab work and sometimes take classes and prepare notes.

Admission :

There was a common entrance test and based on the rank list admission was given. The test included mostly UG syllabus. The marks obtained for UG was not considered for the admission process. There were three merit list and a spot admission.

Faculty :

Faculty is excellent. Almost all the professors have projects going on and have Phd Scholors working under them. The projects are well funded. Apart from the professor's the Phd Scholors will also take classes.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester itself, students are eligible for placements. Companies like vkc pride, axis bank , icici bank , HDFC Bank etc comes. Some academic based institute like byju , unacademy they take students from online interviews. Ya nearly 70% students get placed. My plans are I want to pursue higher education. Thats why I am not going for a job .

My review

Remarks:

Overall rating of our university would be good as it is a central university. Job opportunities are also colourful here. The grade of teaching varies from department to department. But our department is awesome. The only problem here is mess food. You get bored having same food everyday although they try to accommodate a versatile menu throughout the week.

The college bus fees is higher because the college is situated at far from the city and took 45 mins from town to college, students are wish to join in this type of college, all students first preference is this type of college only.
