Remarks :

There are many positive remarks such as placement faculty discipline. The college also provides support the students in many things. The only negative review is about infrastructure and foods in canteen and hostel as I heard from my friends who lives in hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview :

College is affiliated to makaut formerly known as wbut. In Btech there are eight semester. In each semester there are two internal exams of 30 marks each. Then there are practicals for sem exams and after then main sem exam begins.

Placement Experience :

College gives ample oppurtunities to the students. Average lpa is around 3.5 to 4 lpa. Almost aroumd 80 to 90 percent student get placed every year. Many of them get multiple job offers. Internship are provided to cse, It and ece students.

College Events :

College organizes tech fest every year called innovation. Cultual fest is also orgainzed in january every year. Other than that every department organizes their tecb or cultural event almost every two months.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is moderate for middle class people. Admisson fees is around 80k and semester fees is around 55k each semester. 1200 rupees are need to given for exam fees to makaut for each semester exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Loan facility are provided to the needed student through various bank. There is also a tution fee wavier plan for poor student in which there tutuion fees are around 5k eacb semester. There is no scholarship exam.

Campus Life :

Labs are very clean and tidy although new instrument are recommended. Old instruments are still functionable though. No of instrument should be increased for better experience. Every year college organises sports competition for cricket football etc.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumini students are very helpful. College remains in touch with their alumnies. Sometime they provide information about campussing and help bringing companies also. Senior students are also interactive and there is no ragging in this campus.

Admission :

I gave wbjee exam in 2016 and got rank 4098. In counselling i got IEM Kolkata electrical branch. I could easily get mechanical or Eee or ece but I selected electrical based upon my interest. The college is mainly good in cse and IT.

Faculty :

Faculty are well educated and well mannered. They try to explain the subjects from the very basics. They try to show their lecture through ppt presentation. The classes are not dull. A regular interaction always happens.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
