Remarks :

The infrastructure is quite medium. Buildings are old. But our college has good remarks among educationalists and recruiters. We won many events such as SAE. Also we have won Best engineering college award from the government of tamilnadu.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our curriculum is fine enough to compete with the IITs in India. Further improvements on practical sessions are simultaneously updated with the syllabus. Exam is conducted by our college as we have autonomous status.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good enough. Tech mahindra and zoho corporation are our major recruiters. If you possess a CGPA of 8 above and no back papers, you are eligible to contest in placement. A separate team of placement cell is there to enhance students skills.

College Events :

We conduct events for Muthamizh mandram Rotract club Leo club ISTE CLUB The students have talents can expose themselves in such events and gain skills and technical knowledge. Our clubs conduct several events to expose their abilities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees structure is minimal as it's fixed by the government. Academic fees will be around ?6500/- and hostel fees will be around ?12000/-. Mess bills are provided on dividing system and has to be paid monthly. Average mess bill cost will be around ?1300- ? 1500 as per veg or non veg. Semester exam fees will be around 2000 rs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Government scholarship is available in our college. You should opt for scholarship while filling the form for counseling itself. Weaver scholarship is available. Farmers, ex-servicemen scholarships are also available.

Campus Life :

Extra curricular activities include sports such as cricket, volley ball, hockey, kho kho, kabaddi. We have gym facilities in our college campus. Preliminary payment should be done to use the college gym facilities. Intra and inter college sports activities and symposiums are conducted

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are medium. It fits to your needs as well. Individual men and women hostels are there. No water heater facilities. Bathrooms are maintained good. 4 to 5 members per room will be allocated. The hostel electricity bill will be around ?450/- only. No additional charges are imposed. Mess bill dues should be cleared subsequently.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

We have a wide range of alumni network as our college is established in 1952. Thiran platform is developed by them tho expose the students technical talents. They also provide good financial support for the students. They have donated many buildings to our college. A separate association called ACCETOSA is organized by our alumni.

Admission :

Eligibility criteria is to score 192+ cut off marks in HSC examination. Admission process takes place through Anna university online counseling. If you possess good marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry, then you can avail a engineering seat in our college

Faculty :

We have a good team of faculties. Many of them have submitted research articles too. Many staffs have completed their doctorate degree. Workshops and laboratories have separate staffs and lab technicians.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
