Remarks :
The culture following rules is strict. Seniors are helpful, everyone will be nice to you. The campus is lush green and very beautiful and peaceful. Academics can be better and the college really needs to focus on the placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is the same as other engineering exams in India. The exam has three subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. There are no individual subject qualifying marks. There are no qualifying marks at all. You have to be better than others to get a good rank, and you are presented with branch choices based on your rank and the number of available seats at the time of your admission.
Placement Experience :
Placement is at a near-zero level. College is trying to get more companies, and it is successful to a moderate level. But the packages offered are too low. The college doesn't provide any internship opportunities, but the TPO does keep us informed about training and internships at various institutes.
College Events :
There's an annual college fest called Zarf. It is moderately good, but not as good as you'll expect from an engineering college. There are a lot of other functions at the University levels such as Literary Festival, Film Festival, and others. If you want to learn, you won't lack opportunities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's among the cheapest in India. And the university also provides accommodation, at dirt cheap rates. The overall fee for a bachelor in technology course is under? 50000, and the food charge is around? 1200 per month.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are state and central-funded scholarships. You can apply for TECHQIP grants for your projects. There is various alumni association that offer national and international scholarships to AMU students.
Campus Life :
Labs are well equipped. And you can perform experiments. Lab courses are taken very seriously. Sports facilities are among the best in north India. Be it horse riding, roller hockey, football, badminton, tennis, swimming, basketball. you name it. There are turf grounds.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is good. Food can be better, but can't complain much at this price point. Rooms are cleaned every day, there are enough washrooms that there are never rush hours, not even in the mornings.
Alumni/Alumna :
They are very helpful. The alumni network is very vast, thanks to nearly a century-old history. Annual alumni meet is organized every year, and some alumni provide funds for student projects, and a few have got job offers as well.
Admission :
AMU conducts its own entrance test, one has to fill out the form to apply for the entrance test. If you manage to get a decent score and you are selected, a list of students is issued and those who come on the designated day get admission. This counseling is done in several stages, depending on your rank and quota.
Faculty :
Some are highly experienced and are very good at teaching. Some are arrogant, and a few are completely useless as well. Most of the professors have good experience and most of them have internationally published papers under their research. If you're good at your work, you'll get to work on good projects that will help you in building a good resume.
