Remarks :
As a college student i would say all the college have their goods and bads. College excels in academic, sports. But it lags in extracurricular activities like fest and participation in literature. The cultural society and technical society is a mess. Other than this college is making its name every field.
Course Curriculum Overview :
U.I.T is a autonomous government college its course curriculum differ from other colleges, the course is similar to other colleges, exam pattern is different as maximum marks is 105 in the exam. You need 33% marks to pass and the total aggregate of midsem, assignments should meet the criteria.
Placement Experience :
Placements are a strong part of the college there are almost 70% placement rate. The rest 30% are choose to take competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, SSC. Mass recruit conpanies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys give placement to each and everyone.
College Events :
The college lags when it's about fest. There is cultural, technical fest organized but the society which organizes these event are not good and upto the mark only few branch students tries to organise but they aren't successful for the last three time. The only fest which is somehow successful was sports fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is too much feasible the fees is 30000 per annum, which can pe paid in two installment. The fees is less than any other college. the installment are easy to pay for a normal earning family. And the scholarship program for the student in category are really a relief for them.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college is a government funded it follows the rule of state government scholarships programs. If one is eligible and comes under the criteria decided by the government he/she will get scholarship.
Campus Life :
Extracurricular activities are not a strong part of the college, there are labs for each branch and department except few labs are under construction or having a budget problem. College got a good name in sport activities.
Hostel Facilities :
No, On a scale of 1-10, the hostel is 6. Infrastructure is good but it is really far from the city and market, no transportation available inside the campus, once the college bus leaves you got nothing unless you got a bike or car.
Alumni/Alumna :
The senior are really helpful they provide all the information and notes for the fresher student. Alumnis are also really nice they help students for internships and other stuff. And sometimes the alumni visit college to help the student to get ready for placement.
Admission :
Cleared JEE Main cutoff marks, as a government college you need to clear JEE or you can also take admission by the merit based counselling 12th marks. The last chance of getting the admission in the college is CLC Round.
Faculty :
Faculty are nice and experienced, some of the faculties are not permanent but they are selected on the basis of exam and their teaching experiences. The college tries to recurit the experienced faculty and the curriculum for teachers are to help children in any way possible.
