My College

VV

Remarks :

The food is purely veg apart from egg. And there is complete food option for day scholars and they have to buy food from many stalls available for their needs would br the negative. There is good wifi facility all over the college for free. The girls hostel facility can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Though the course is quite outdated. The management provides ampful opportunities to the students to earn certifications and intrend technologies to boost their skills. The curriculum is updated now to the current need for new joiners.

Placement Experience :

There are ampful placement opportunities. Me doing my final year many of tech gaints have appeared for placements. ZOHO,INFOSYS,TCS,WIPRO,L&G to name a few and since our college falls under elite category the recruitment is well poised and good. Provides ampful opportunities for the students who are talented.

College Events :

Symposiyms, Culturals in both the even and odd semesters. Involving celebreties and many entrepreneurship encouraging events to lure the students into entrepreneurship. Rotract Club,NSS,Enactus REC and many other clubs to promote extracurricular activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It amounts to upto 1lakh and reduces for people who are lower castes and are also first graduates. So it's reasonable taking into account all the placements and trainings that the college presents to its students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

First Graduate Scholarship and also for students having 9+ CGPA after 1 year to name a few. They also provide many higher studies related courses like GRE,IELTS training by top institutes for students at a discounted price.

Campus Life :

Having a dedicated PT staff helps and there are huge playgrounds dedicated to football, badminton, basketball, cricket, handball, beach volleyball individually. The labs are well equipped with skilled personnal but they lack the industrial needs. All the equipments are of basic type.

Alumni/Alumna :

No idea about the alumni network. But the seniors when approached are very much willing to help the juniors in their academics and project work. Apart from that all share a good rapport for the common good.

Admission :

Once i got my 12th results I went to the office at Kilpauk to submit my documents and marksheets and ask them for a seat at their college. After checking my academic profile, they were satisfied with my marks. So they offered me a seat in Mechanical Engineering which was my first preference.

Faculty :

They are well skilled and helpful. They are open to discussions and guide and show us the path based on our field of intrests. They help us in papers, projects and even in applying patents. On the whole it all depends upon what a student is capable of extracting from the faculty.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
