College from 0 to 7ish

Remarks :

None whatsoever. My review contains everything I wanted to write down. Only thing negative is the intake of students which is increasing year by year and could prove to be stressfull on the placement cell and staff.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum of ECE is good as the subjects contain a mix of all the subjects necessary for Interview for companies and GATE Examination. The Exam Structure consists of Midsemesters, Sessionals and End Semesters. A combined 33% is required to pass a course.

Placement Experience :

Placements are conducted throughout the year and the placement rate is very good. If you are a 7+ CGPA holder and skilled for the industry you are surely to get placed in a reputed company. Yes college also provides internship for the last semester through Placement Cell only. I have my internship lined up in one of the Big 4 with a stipend of nearly 30k

College Events :

Various events in my college are :- 1) Saturnalia - Annual Techno-Cultural Festival of Thapar 2) Urja - Annual Sports Festival of Thapar 3) TedxTIET - TEDx talk at Thapar Level 4) Spicmacay Thapar - Indian Culture Promotion through performances and talks

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For a Middle Class Family, it is quite expensive. It'll cost you nearly 2 lac for a semester to be here and that includes Academic Fee, Development Fee, Hostel Fee and everything. The pocket money isn't included in this.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I know if 3 types of merit scholarship. First is Type 1 and covers your Academic and Development Fees. Second is Type 2 and covers your Academic Fee Third is Type 3 and covers your Development Fee. Also there are Merit-cum-means scholarship and student loans available.

Campus Life :

Labs are well equipped and some of them have been recently constructed. Sports complex is up and coming and lacks space according to the number of students. For example we have only 1 pool for so many students. However the Track, Football ground and Cricket ground are nice and usually packed.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel Infrastructure is commendable. It is beyond par to the other colleges. It has various type of accommodation and each accommodation is very well suited. We have geysers, ACS and well equipped mess with hygienic food.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is good and recently there has been a launch of Thapar Almaconnect to join each and everyone. Senior students are approachable and helpful in every term. You can usually connect with them on social networks or through friends and family.

Admission :

The first step is to secure a good percentage in boards and appear for JEE Mains. A person can get in through either of the 2 criteria. A person with a good JEE Mains score can get a branch of his choice. After that priority is given to the people with Boards marks

Faculty :

Faculty of the college ranges from exceptionally good to truly boring. My mentor for example is one of the most accomplished professor on premises and has been helpful in all aspects. The course instructors are extremely knowledgeable and mentor you through your 4 years journey here very well.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
