Remarks :

I did M. Planning from GCOA which is a 2 year program. Admission process was simple. Overall experience was good. The teaching standard could improve. I made a lot of new friends during my time at the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The M. Planning was a full time, 2 year course consisting of four semester terms. During the final year, there were fewer classes, as we were busy preparing our thesis. Overall the M. Planning course is specially designed for the purpose of providing regional and urban planning for developing well structured towns.

Placement Experience :

Many of my batchmates got placed in some local organizations such as Jasbir Sawhney and Associates, Banka & Associates, Mes Misamari, Rajkhowas Archi, Hasmukh Pate, Hindustan Steel Construction Ltd. Though the placement package is not that good. But it's quite fair for a fresher.

College Events :

We played volleyball and basketball in the college. It was a nice way to shed off the pressure. The best players also get the chance of playing in the college team. Apart from that, the college also organizes workshop, which aided in our understanding of various concepts.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

First year fee for the M. Planning program was a little over 1 lacs. The facilities provided by the college could be better. The location of the college is nice though, but we still didn't receive the value for money.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Masters students are provided grants based on their academic performance. Students receive as much as 50,000 INR per semester. You have to satisfy the minimum eligibility to avail these offers.

Campus Life :

We celebrate Exurbia which is like a cultural fest. Many students from neighboring colleges would come to participate in the competition. Students show their hidden talent during the event, which was a pleasant delight, everytime.

Alumni/Alumna :

Many of the alumni of our college have established their own ventures and having a successful run. Some of these ventures are Green Arch, Golden Bricks, Apex Arch, Bhajanka & Associates, Agarwal Architects, Nazimudin Dewan Firm, etc.

Faculty :

Half of our faculty was guest faculty. Though they were all good and helpful.
