Positive environment for students

Remarks :

Honestly, It’s awesome. The student community in DA is small, and very very friendly. It’s approachable and tight knit. According to me DAIICT is a platform that will help you learn how to keep a perfect balance between studies and activities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

What constitutes the curriculum of other colleges is a sub-set of the ICT curriculum, which means that you’ll get to learn everything in an ICT course what a CSE graduate would have learned. Morover, ICT includes subjects and courses from Electronics and Communication technology. The first two years’ curriculum includes courses from Computer science, Electronics and Communication technology. However, you are free to choose electives after that, i.e in which field you want to pursue. Most people tend to persue IT.

College Events :

In DAIICT, we celebrate every indian festival. Some of my favourites are Mataki phod(Janmashtami), Garba(Navratri), Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Kites Flying(On Makar sankranti). Apart from the festivals, we have iFest(TechFest of DAIICT - for 3 days), Concours(Sport Fest- for 4 days) and Synapse(Cultural Fest - for 5 days). These three events are the center of attraction in Gujarat state. You can expect more than 40000 footfall on those days in campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

When I was student, the fee structure was, Tuition fee: 85,000 p.a Hostel fee: 14000 p.a(without food) Hostel Deposite: 10,000 (refundable) Cost of food: 5000 per month(It depends on individual. This is average cost.) You can have subsidiaries food in canteen which is very cheap with good quality.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes. You can avail 100% scholarship of your Tuition fee. Every year top 5% students with low family income(Need to check the exact number) will get the scholarship. Next year, If you want to continue your scholarship, you have to maintain 8 CGPA in current year.

Admission :

In DA-IICT, 50% seats are reserved for state students and rest are for other states student through JEE score. As I belong to Gujarat, My admission process is done through ACPC web portal by Gujarat Government. My ACPC rank was 220 and I easily got admission in DA-IICT(In current situation, you need to be in first 150 students in Gujarat to get admission in DA-IICT for open category.)

Faculty :

They all are PHD's. It depends on you how you the faculty is for you. The faculty is well knowledged. But teaching anyone isn't easy. The person may be knowledgeable but he may be unable to share his idea with us. But the professors here are good and listen to us if we face any problem. It's on us not to hesitate to ask doubts.

Remarks:

My college is good from every respect particularly for B-Techs it's heaven for M-Techs it depends, a lot on their luck and extraordinary abilities for getting a job from campus. But at end SVNIT provides such a class education to you that you can at least search job for yourself.
