As per the NIRF India Rankings 2023: Engineering, IIT Bhubaneswar is placed at the 47th rank.

As far as your question is concerned, it depends upon what facilities and opportunities you seek in your institution.

Here are a few parameters for assessing IIT Bhubaneswar:

Campus: The campus is newly built and the facilities are continuously expanding.

Hostel Food: The food is like any other mess food, below average.

The Bhubaneswar Railway Station is 27 km away, and The Biju Pattanaik International Airport is 30 km away.

Hostels: The Hostels are newly constructed and quite good. The hostel and the hostel rooms are one of the best among the IITs.The hostels mostly have single rooms.

Accessibility: The market is located in Bhubaneswar City, which is a bit far from the IIT Bhubaneswar campus. The nearby railway station (Khurdha Railway Junction-6 km away) will solve travel-related problems.

Faculty: The faculty is experienced and the professors are good.

Sports Facilities- IIT Bhubaneswar provides plenty of sports facilities. These include - Basketball court, Volleyball court, Hockey field, Indoor Badminton Court, Cricket Field, Athletics Track, Football Field, Squash court, and Table Tennis

IIT Bhubaneswar, a comparative newer IIT, is still considered to be among one of the top engineering colleges across the country. As IITians, candidates grow among the best minds in the country and have a lot of potential in respect of innovation and research.

The institutes have never failed to provide them with more than what they have expected. Every passing year, standards keep increasing. Technically the institutes make sure that they fulfill the requirements of the demands as per the current education system.

Being an IIT, our batch witnessed and experienced quite major shortcomings which are discussed below:

The current batch has a lot of complaints regarding the flawed internal policies and systems.
Students lack moral support and only outstanding students are looked after in IIT BS. In our batch, it became quite inconvenient for the students who found it difficult to try their hands in skill-handling.
The pressure of the curriculum is such that we would automatically think of ourselves as robots. If the tasks are not completed on time, the students have to go through a lot of indecisiveness.
The administration is quite clueless about decision-making which caused our batch a lot of trouble.
We also had complaints about not providing us with enough facilities for innovative works and researches and problems with placement related issues.
Our batch also complained of too much pressure in the curriculum and some level of hypocrisy in the management.

IIT-BS affected the psychology of a lot of students from my batch. The environment to study there is not the best. Seniors often say that it is not a place for making engineers but robots. They have shared experiences where the institute clearly tried to develop students overnight by pressurizing them.

Needless to say, most of us went there for the valuable IIT Tag. The institute would definitely fetch you a great job. If you want a happy learning experience, you must always opt for some other institute and not IIT BS.
