What is the advantage of doing an MBBS from CMC Vellore, and how is it as compared to other premier institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER?

I am in the initial stages of my MBBS at CMC Vellore, so I might not be the most qualified person to answer this question. However, I’ll try my best to solve your doubt.

Here are some advantages of studying medicine at CMC Vellore-

1. The most important point is the wide patient flow. It is around 8000 patients per day. Over here, you’ll get the ultimate exposure to all common and rare cases during clinical postings.
2. The professors are nationally and internationally acclaimed. They work continuously to improve the quality of research. They are supportive and helpful. But JIPMER and AIIMS are far ahead in this aspect.
3. CMC follows an amazing protocol system, making it one of the best in patient care. You’ll get ample learning opportunities at this place.
4. The UG hostels are even better than those at AIIMS and JIPMER. The campus offers good senior junior interaction.
5. You’ll get electives in many universities abroad, secondary hospital program (shp) across India during clinical years, and much more.
6. You’ll learn a lot during your internship period over here.
7. The college has a student governing body system which aids personal growth and helps attain leadership qualities. 

Comparing CMC Vellore to premiere institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER may not be justified in many respects. It is a good institution with ample growth opportunities.
