IIT Ropar library operations are automated using the Koha Integrated Library Management System. IIT Ropar library is using the Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID). IIT Ropar Library has developed an institutional digital repository (IDR) to archive and provide online access to the intellectual output of the institute. IDR is available publicly.
Rajeev Ahuja is the present director of IIT Ropar. He joined the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar as a director on 1st April 2021. Rajeev Ahuja is one of the scientists and most highly cited researchers in the top 5 materials scientists in India & Sweden.
Rajeev Ahuja did his Ph.D. from I.I.T. Roorkee in India in 1992 and after that, he joined Uppsala University, Sweden as a postdoctoral fellow. Now he is also a professor at Uppsala University, Sweden at computational Materials science.

IIT Ropar CSE cutoff 2024 has yet to be declared. The cutoff of IIT Ropar will be released after the result is declared which will be tentatively out on 14th June 2024. The counseling is held in 6 (or 7) rounds, with 2 additional mock rounds in between for IIT Ropar CSE admission through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process. The IIT Ropar CSE cutoff 2023 of round 5 ranges from 1350-1876 for the General Category. The first round IIT Ropar CSE cutoff 2023 ranged from the rank 1859-1876.
IIT Ropar hostel rooms are facilitated with indoor recreation and games. There are seven hostels: Beas, Satluj, Brahmaputra Boys, Chenab Hostels for boys and Raavi, Brahmaputra Girls, and T6 Hostels for girls inside the IIT Ropar campus. The total strength of the hostels is approximately 3000 students. All the hostels of the IIT Ropar campus are well-equipped with water coolers and RO systems, and also a few washing machine facilities. IIT Ropar hostel campus has four shops catering to the residents' basic needs. Each hostel of the IIT Ropar has a warden, who guides the students to manage the affairs of the hostels.
