Sharda University's interview for a BTech will start with an introduction round. You will be asked to introduce yourself. There may be some basic questions on what you have studied in 10+2. The questions asked aren’t too difficult. They ask questions such as - ‘What is Molality?’ ‘State Gauss Law.’ The interview usually takes around 15-20 mins.

What is the 75 % attendance rule at Sharda University and how is this attendance calculated?

AM
Aparajita Mitra Posted On : May 17th, 2021
B.Tech student at Sharda University

In Sharda university, the minimum attendance norm is 75% for all students. You need to fulfill it in order to be eligible for the final examination. Attendance is taken through a mobile application known as v-attendance.

  • If you fail to maintain the desired attendance you may have to face various consequences. Maybe you have to pay a fine or you can also get debarred.
  • If you don't meet the subject-wise requirement of attendance in 1 or 2 subjects due to some emergency, you can request the department for the admit card and be able to appear in the exam.
  • Attendance is calculated by the total number of hours, i.e. the number of classes you attend which divides by the total number of classes. For e.g. if the total number of classes you attend is 100 and you will be safe until you miss an estimate of 24 one-hour classes.

Maintaining 75% is a must for the average student because it can affect your internals because many of the teachers do look at your attendance.

Is Sharda University good when it comes to placements in B.Tech CSE?

RG
Rachit Gupta Posted On : May 25th, 2021
studied at Sharda University (2019)

One of my friends studied at Sharda University. According to him, your GPA will not be the only criteria that will be looked at when it comes to your placements. But, if you are planning to appear via campus drives, the first and foremost thing that would qualify you for this would be your GPA.

  • If your score is less than 7 you will probably not be able to sit at most of the companies.
  • It is also important that you have a 60% score throughout your academics.
  • Develop your aptitude and reasoning abilities as well. Most importantly, your communication skills will matter a lot.

Among all the companies that visit the college, IT and Management visit in the largest numbers. Some of these include Indian Navy, Think n Learn, NTT Data, etc.

About 8 to 10 of these will have a pool campus invite. Around 3 to 5 management and sales companies.

The university also has the best TnP department and works really hard in order to bring companies to the campus. But many students are not that interested in getting placed. Because of this, the placement percentage is quite low.

Studied B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sharda University (2019)

Sharda University will be a great option for you to pursue B.Tech. While studying at Sharda University I noticed that every college has more or less the same course curriculum. Miscommunications about placement drives are common, like in any other institute. The only comparison you can make among colleges to get a better idea are the placements and the salary packages offered to its students.

My fellow classmates of the 2019 batch had seen 91% placement in BTech. Over 350 companies participated in the placement program. The recruiting companies include Mu Sigma, Amazon, Johnson Controls, iGate, Adani, Wipro, D&B, Tech Mahindra, Crisil, KPMG, IBM, Global Logic, etc.

RM
Rakesh Mehta Posted On : January 12th, 2021
B.Sc Agriculture Hons. from Chandigarh University (2020)

Chandigarh University (CU) is better than Sharda University for rotating students. The college life at Chandigarh University is blissful. Studying here has opened several avenues for my career. Due to its immense popularity among students and professionals alike, reputed companies and institutions collaborate with CU.

The faculty at CU are also friendly and supportive towards their students, encouraging them to do better in their career.

The infrastructure of CU is better than that of Sharda University. They are well equipped with a canteen, stationery shops, tuck shops in hostels, laundry, parlour, gym, etc. The campus has food joints like Samosa Express, Subway, Maggi Hotspot, Food Republic, etc.

Which is better, IP University's average college or Sharda University?

SV
Shagun Verma Posted On : June 14th, 2021
B.Tech Business Development & Digital Marketing, Sharda University (2019)

Having friends who study in both colleges, I can assure you that, there is no comparison of Sharda University with any IPU colleges unless it is low rated.

  • If you are taking your studies seriously you should consider entering colleges affiliated with IP University.
  • But Sharda University offers amazing placement and internship opportunities as they have good tie-ups with few top companies.
  • You can do good even at Sharda University if you are good at self-study and can get motivated on your own.
  • The positive side of Sharda University is that it has a great crowd.

There are alumni at Sharda University who are unemployed. Even a number of graduate students from IPU are still searching for jobs. There are students at both of these universities who have reached heights in technological fields.

If you want a strong core teaching and complete study environment, go for IPU. If you are happy with your studies and want to have a bit of a relaxed college life Sharda University is your spot.

Do you really find your future in Sharda University?

RK
Radhika Kashyap Posted On : June 14th, 2021
Software Consultant at Self-Employment (2018-present)

I would be very honest with my answer here. Whatever degree you would receive at the end of the course would be the same as any other college would provide. The decisions you would make for your life are something that would count. People are successful even without a degree and even IITians are at times failures too. You should crave the knowledge factor and not any college.

An alumnus of Sharda University recently got placed at Mercedes Benzwith a package of 17 LPA. Maybe you should learn by examples like these instead of comparing institutes with their mainstream quality factor-like others.

I have another friend studying at Sharda University and as far as I know her, she is one very determined soul and she would inevitably get placed. Sharda University has all the possible facilities for a student. The teaching methodology is top-notch. They will support and give you all the necessary advice and motivational thoughts.

It is important to remember that an institution will only provide you light along with the path, it is only you who would walk on that.

Also, just so you know- the best course offered at Sharda is B.Tech in CSE which is an industry-oriented course.
