I got call letter from BIMTECH Greater Noida for admission to PGDM course but my college exams are clashing with the interview date. What should I do?

RS

MBA from SVKM's NMIMS (2016)

One of my friends graduated from BIMTECH and having read online reviews regarding this here are a few things worth mentioning:

  • Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988.
  • It has been accredited with an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC.
  • BIMTECH offers two years of Full-Time AICTE approved post-graduate diploma courses in PGDM in General Management, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in Insurance Business Management, and PGDM in Retail Management.

It is advised that you should send an email to BIMTECH and attach your exam datasheet along with it. Tell them that due to your exams it’s not possible to attend the PI process. The PI process will be either preponed or postponed according to your convenience. They generally have a flexible schedule for the interview date.

Which is good college, BIMTECH Greater Noida or LBSIM?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : May 4th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

To give you a better understanding, the following answer is using the three Cs to compare:

  1. Curriculum: If someone has very clear job goals, he or she might want to look into B-schools that offer a specialization in that field. Also, you might want to go to a college with a program that you can change to fit your needs. For example, BIMTECH has a program that is updated every year because the business world is always changing. Students at LBSIM, on the other hand, spend the first few years taking core classes and can also take a foreign language as an elective.
  2. Communication: You can get a good idea of this by looking at how often and how much the school's selection committee interacts with you. At BIMTECH, the admissions office is known for making real connections that start with the application process. If you think of LBSIM, it too has great ways to board, stay, and use other services.
  3. Culture: Getting a sense of the culture at any school is important if you want to decide if the program is a good fit for you. Start your evaluation by figuring out if the attitude is mostly competitive or collaborative. When it comes to a college’s culture, there is no right or wrong. Instead, you should choose the place where you think you will do best.

CAT cut-off for a B-School is a good way to figure out how good it is. The cutoff for LBSIM is around 85+ percentile and the cutoff for BIMTECH is around 75 percentile. It is clear that LBSIM has a much better intake, which makes group learning even better. Also, LBSIM has the best return on investment (ROI) of any school in its field.

What is the mat cut off for BIMTECH Noida?

DG
Dableena Ghosh Posted On : February 19th, 2021
Birla Institute of Management Technology (2018)

The cutoff for the MAT exam changes every year because it varies due to different factors like the number of aspirants applying for the exam, the number of students who managed to score above the cut-off marks. If you manage to pass the exam with a good score then you can get a seat. However, 10% of the seats are reserved for NRI or International students and 5% seats are reserved for Economically and Socially Challenged students.

Required Cutoff:

By appearing for the MAT exam you can only take admission in Insurance Business Management or Retail Management courses and the score should be 70 percentile or above. This is not an exact figure and can change depending on various factors. So for more detailed information you can refer to the college website or contact them in person.

If you wish to take admission in other courses like PGDM core, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Marketing), PGDM (IBM) then you should appear for CAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT exams. Good Luck with the exam.

BIMTECH is a 34-year-old private b-school located in Greater Noida for MBA aspirants. The college is backed by the legendary Birla Group. BIMTECH is largely preferred over other colleges in the same bracket by the aspirants for its beautiful fully-residential campus that distinguishes it from other B-schools in the same league.

Established in 2004, Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM), Noida has completed almost 20 years of excellence in management education. JIM is ranked 28th amongst Private B-Schools in India by CSR-GHRDC, 2022, and 51st amongst all Management Institutes of India by NIRF rankings of 2022.

Jaipuria Noida offers flagship two-year full-time AICTE Approved, NBA accredited and AIU-recognised PGDM programs (PGDM, PGDM (SM), and PGDM (MARKETING) and Doctoral level Fellow Program in Management.

IILM Institute for Higher Education, established in 1993, offers PGDM courses. The college has been ranked 120 in the NIRF rankings for 2022 and 11th Best Indian B-school in Eduniversal rankings. It has other two branches in Delhi-NCR which offer degrees in other streams and courses.

The table below shows the placement packages of all three institutions:
