Hey, I am a student at LPU. LPU has a huge library system with 11 branches. The Central Library is the biggest one, located in Block 37. More than 24 lakh books and e-books in all subject fields are available in the library. You can avail of the facility of using journals, magazines, and newspapers. The library system at LPU also provides ICT-based resources to its students, such as e-books, e-journals, and databases.

LPU provides practical learning to its students through summer training, compulsory internships, ‘on-the-job’ training, study tours, and industry live and entrepreneurial projects. Including all these, LPU also provides events and workshops that are included in the LPU’s curriculum. 

LPU also provides field visits or projects through industry internships with corporate giants like Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys, ABB, and ISRO. Students at LPU can get exposure to real work environments and also get the opportunity to use their learning in real-life projects.

As a student who changed states to study here at Parul, let me answer your question. The university is around 15-18 km away from the main city so forget about renting a PG. The daily commute will be very difficult for you if you decide to live in a rented flat or room in the city. 

The best choice you can make is to stay in the hostel itself, which I have done. Here inside the campus, you’ll get all sorts of facilities, so you need not worry about going to the city.

Here at Parul, we have a weekly exam now and then to routinely check our understanding of the classes. We have the mid-term exam after 1.5 months of the commencement of class, and the end-semester exam after 5 months or so. The exams are comprised of theory, assignment submission, viva and practicals.

With regular study and practice, you’ll find that the exams are not that hard to ace.

Of course, LPU incorporates practical training through various internships, training, and workshops to enhance career prospects.

I am a student at VIT Vellore, so I can only comment on my college. Here are some reasons why I chose VIT Vellore for my engineering degree-

1. Academics- VIT Vellore follows FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) for academics. As the name suggests, this system of education is very flexible as one gets to choose one’s subjects and faculty based on the opinion gathered from friends and seniors. One can either take morning lectures or evening lectures as per one’s choice.
2. Extracurricular- There is always some activity going on in the VIT campus at all times. There are multiple clubs at VIT Vellore, and one can become a member of any of them.
3. Campus Life- The campus life of VIT is full of fun experiences. Apart from the flexible academic system, one gets to live in a campus that is simply beautiful. Other than that, every six months the university organizes tech and cultural fests. I have been a part of Gravitas and Riviera, and both of them offered extraordinary experiences. 
4. Placements- As for engineering placements, a lot of companies visit the VIT Vellore campus for recruitments. Then there are several IT companies that intake candidates from all engineering branches at VIT Vellore. These are- Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. Apart from job placements, VIT Vellore gives deserving students an opportunity of foreign internships. 

These reasons are enough to explain why I preferred VIT Vellore for my engineering studies. I would recommend you consider VIT as it has a lot of opportunities and facilities to offer. 

The campus life at KIET is pretty good. I am a second year B.Tech student at this institution, and I will surely miss my college life once I graduate. 

The college canteen offers good quality food at reasonable charges. The hostels are nice. Those who don’t wish to be a hosteller, can opt for PGs or rented rooms. These are easily available in the surrounding areas. Hostellers are not allowed to go outside the campus after 10-11 pm. 

The Annual Day function can not be forgotten. It's a week-long event that ends with a performance by some well known celebrity singer each year. There is the annual tech event named Innotech. Apart from the tech event, KIET organizes art and poetry events as well. The nearest movie theater from the campus is Movie World. It can be reached by Auto for mere 10 rupees.

Being a proud student of BITS Pilani, I can proudly confirm that the institution holds to its definition. Like every other college, our college also has a set of pros and cons but the pros surpass the cons. If you compare BIT Pilani with the newly formed IITS, the first distinction that will come into the picture is the vast legacy and reputation of BITS Pilani. Its vast alumni network and long-standing history make it one of the most prestigious institutions in the country as compared to the newer IITS. BITS Pilani has strong industry connections which makes it easier for the students to get placed at the top companies which the newer IITs lack. Moreover, the experienced and seasoned faculty of BITS Pilani gives it an edge over the newer IITs. However, the fees of BITS Pilani is quite high as compared to the newer IITs, so you should make your choice of the institution accordingly.

Yes, LPU has a work-integrated program in BTech. It allows students to gain practical exposure along with their academic studies. The university facilitates work-integrated programs through collaboration with partner companies. These courses help students in improving their readiness for work and employability. These programs also help students in developing valuable connections that can be helpful in their future endeavours. 

Currently, LPU offers work-integrated BTehc courses in CSE and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning disciplines. I have mentioned the course details in the table below.
