Which is better for CSE? (IIT Roorkee vs BITS Pilani vs IIT BHU vs IIIT Hyderabad)?
All the aforementioned colleges have well-established CSE departments and are good choices for engineering aspirants. However, personally, I feel IITs are always a safe choice given their low fees and big alumni pool.
IITs attract the best minds from across the country and the opportunities provided are much better than other colleges. BITS Pilani, although a great choice can be a problem for those with financial constraints given its high fees. IIIT Hyderabad has it all from excellent academics to top-notch placements but does not have a very happening college life.

How is the hostel life at IIT Roorkee?
The hostel life at IIT Roorkee is nothing less than magic as it gives you precious memories that will stay with you forever.
During the initial days, you will have to stand in queues for your food or library cards. The food at the mess will look edible initially but very soon you will start detesting it. It’s advisable to seek constant help from your seniors and maintain good bonds with them.
After a few months you will adapt yourself to the campus and your hostel will become your home away from home. Night outs will become a common occurrence and you will love strolling through the campus the entire day. All this will leave an everlasting impression on you and you will end up missing these days a lot.
Which is better for civil engineering IIT Delhi or IIT Roorkee?
For Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee will be a better option compared to IIT Delhi. It used to be a Civil Engineering college, before becoming an IIT. It is also one of the oldest Civil Engineering colleges on the continent. Naturally, IIT Roorkee has a better brand name in the Civil Engineering industry. - Prepare a 5-page report describing the project you are willing to work on and how it will benefit society. Once you are done, send the same along with your application form and NOC to the professor

- The final intern list is released around February so all you can do is wait till then.

It’s sad to say but MTech students do not attract very good companies for placements. The companies prefer students with experience. BTech students prepare well in advance either for MBA or coding to get placements in IT or banking companies. MTech students are not allowed to do so and thus are unable to secure good packages.
Now the question arises, what should MTech students do to guarantee a safe career? Well, I will suggest that they prepare for GATE again and clear PSU or some other Engineering service.
You can even enter Academia but the salary packages will also be average. Another option is to go for a Ph.D. but this too has no career prospects. The most guaranteed way is to clear PSU.

I am a student of MSc. Economics at IIT Roorkee. Here are some advantages of joining this institution for an MSc. in Economics:

Overall, the highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Roorkee placements 2022-23 placements stood at INR 1.06 crore per annum and INR 1.30 crore per annum, respectively. How are hostel rooms at IIT Roorkee?
Every hostel at IIT Roorkee has different quality rooms allotted to the students. My friend is a first-year student and was allotted a room in Rajendra Bhavan. This hostel is meant specially for first-year students and comprises 3 blocks, A, B, and C.
- All the 3 blocks have a different variety of rooms with block A having the best.
- A typical room in a hostel of IIT Roorkee has a cupboard, study table, laptop table, chair, and bed.
- Every room has different quality wall paint and other things like curtains, foot mats, flooring, and power sockets.
- A block has mostly single occupancy rooms while block B has 2-3 seater rooms. Block C has a unique aspect of an individual open balcony in every room.
- There are electrical appliances like Fans, LED lights, LAN ports, and room heaters to make the students stay comfortable.
- The best rankers are usually given single rooms while others are given double rooms.
- After completing your first year, you are allotted a single room that is large enough for a single student.
- The girls hostels are Sarojini Bhavan and Kasturba Bhavan.
- The mess is maintained well and serves hygienic yet average taste food.
