What are the disadvantages of NIT Trichy?

KS
Kalyani Shrivastava Posted On : July 24th, 2023
NIT Trichy

The disadvantages faced by NIT Trichy students because of its remote location and hot climate are known to many so I will talk about issues no one has yet commented on.

  • North Indians face major language barriers here, especially with shopkeepers, teachers, and peers. They are least interested in learning the language of the locals.
  • NIT Trichy does not offer any effective treatment for the street dogs that roam inside the campus. You can find dogs everywhere like hostels, canteens, and messes. They should either be sent to the forest authority or should be treated fairly. Many times I have seen dogs die because of malnutrition.
  • Students hailing from Telangana face major ragging issues.
  • NIT Trichy has no amusement places nearby where you can hang out with friends.

I hope the administration takes measures against these issues.

CSE at top NITs is a far better option. Among the NITS, I would suggest you choose NIT Trichy. The CSE department of NIT Trichy is better than other NITs. The department is old and the curriculum is at par with the top IITs. The faculty is experienced and will guide you throughout the four years of your college. You will get hands-on learning because of the multiple practical projects that are given to the students. The campus of NIT Trichy is just as amazing. You will have hostel facilities as well. Each year the top companies visit our college to recruit the students. The CSE department is one of the departments that get the highest packages. What are your reviews about NIT Trichy?

SS
Shweta Samyak Posted On : July 20th, 2023
Lived in Trichy

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

It is not about placement and companies coming to NIT Trichy; it is about students participating in events all year. Without a doubt, Academics, Ambiance, Library, and Good Hostels are the Foundation for them to prepare for their placements and transition from Academia to Industry.

However, participation in sports, events, seminars, conferences, Technical Lectures, Cultures, Tech Meets, Competitions, freelance projects, interdisciplinary research, and a traveling-ready mentality prepares them for placement.

According to some media reports, 90% of UG students have already been placed. For PG courses, the placement rate has so far been 85%. The full set of statistics has yet to be released.

Previously in 2021, the overall placement rate for undergraduate and graduate courses was 86.5% and 83.3%, respectively. According to official reports, 283 companies participated in the 2021 PG course recruitment drive.
