Panjab University Announces Management Entrance Test 2022 for MBA Admission; Exan Dates Revised

The University Institute of Applied Management Science (UIAMS), Panjab University, Chandigarh has announced a management entrance test, also known as PU MET 2022 for admission to the MBA programmes offered at different specialisations for the academic session 2022-23. 

The UIAMS at Panjab University Campus offers management programmes in Sectoral areas and disciplines in order to meet the industry needs and requirements for specialized managerial skills.

The varsity has planned to hold the entrance test on a revised date - May 28, 2022, for admission to the following MBA courses for the academic year 2022-23.

The PU MET 2022 Exam will be conducted in offline mode at different exam centres at Chandigarh. 

PU MET 2022: Eligibility Criteria 2022

In order to enrol for the MBA (Retail Management and Banking & Insurance Management & Capital Markets), candidates should have to satisfy the following eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates should hold a bachelor’s or master's degree in any specialization with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
• MBBS Pass in the final examination conducted by either (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

• Candidates must have passed the AMIE Exam with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma exam with 60% marks or above and have at least 5-years of research/teaching or professional experience.

For MBA (IT & Telecommunications Mgt.) & MBA (Infrastructural Mgt.)

• Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech (in any Branch) degree with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any Science subject with Physics and/or Mathematics with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
• Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
• AMIE exam with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and having at least 5-years of research/teaching or professional experience.

For MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
• MBBS with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in any Science subjects with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks.
• B.Sc (Medical) /B.Sc (Biotechnology) /B.Sc (Biochemistry) of Panjab University or of any other University, recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.

For MBA (Hospital Management)

• Candidates must hold a MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BDS/ B.Pharmacy/ B.Sc. (Nursing)/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)/ B.Voc (Hospital Management) with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
• Candidates must have passed B.Sc (Medical) /B.Sc (Biotechnology) /B.Sc (Biochemistry) of Panjab University or of any other University, recognized by Panjab University as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.

PU MET 2022: Admission Process

The varsity has announced that the admission for the MBA programme will be done based on the merit obtained by the candidate's score in the Management Entrance Test (MET), followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Candidate's admission for the MBA programmes can be done based on the weightage of Entrance Test (85% weightage), Group Discussion (7.5% weightage) and Personal Interview (7.5% weightage). Thus, the result of the PU MET 2022 will not be sent to the candidates.

Post the completion of GD and PI, the varsity will announce the comprehensive results on the UIAMS notice board and UIAMS website. 

PU MET 2022: Application Process

Interested Candidates can check their eligibility criteria and apply online for the MBA admissions via the official UIAMS website @www.uiams.puchd.ac.in or PU MET website www.met.puchd.ac.in. 

Candidates should note that the hard copy of the application form along with necessary documents should reach the Assistant Registrar, UIAMS, South Campus, (Behind Alumni House), Panjab University, sector-25, Chandigarh. 

PU MET 2022: How to Apply? 

Following are the steps to apply for the MBA admissions in UIAMS, Panjab University. 

Step 1: Read the admission prospectus thoroughly and register online 

Step 2: Post the registration process, the login Id and password will be sent to the registered email Id. 

Step 3: Take a printout of fee challan (fee challan can also be downloaded from the account using login id and password).

Step 4: Deposit the application fee using the website generated fee challan at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of fee challan.

Step 5: Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill in all the other important information.

Step 6: Finally, take a printout of the application form and submit/ send it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the printout of the application form.

Step 8: Download your PU MET 2022 Admit Card to appear for the exam.
