The University of Madras is now preparing to conduct the semester examination for all university candidates through offline mode in January 2022. The exam will be held for engineering, arts, science stream students on the campus ground.
As per Madras University’s statement, the semester examination of university students will only include direct and familiar questions. The result evaluation process for the same will be more liberal without changing the question paper pattern.

Referring to the decision, the Madras University officials stated that the examination will be held offline mode from January 20, 2022, for students after a gap of almost 18 months.
The university aims to make it easier for students to appear in the physical examination by making the exam questions direct without making any changes in the examination pattern.
Referring to the announcement, D G Vaishnav College Principal, S Santhosh Baboo said, "The classes have been conducted in a blended mode this semester”.
“We will invite all students to physical classes and prepare them for offline mode exams by giving question banks, previous year papers" he further added.
Madras University admits card for the upcoming examination will also be released at least two weeks before the exam commencement on the university's official website.
Once released, students will be able to check and download the same by entering their roll number and other details on admit card release link.
With the release of Madras University Admit Card 2022, students will be able to check the examination schedule, exam dates, exam center details along with important instructions for the same.
Students who are now preparing to appear for the examination are strictly advised to follow the exam instructions mentioned on their admit card.
Earlier, Madras University has announced its decision not to conduct any more online examinations for university students from the first week of December 2021.
With this decision, the varsity has started its preparation to commence examination through offline means on the campus ground while keeping in mind the safety guidelines released by the government for the COVID-19 pandemic.
