KISS Bhubaneswar, Deemed to be University hosted the Seventh Study Visit cum Consortium Meet under the AURORA Project, which was attended by representatives from Spain, Romania, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Nepal and India.

New Delhi: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Deemed to be University has successfully organised the Seventh Study Visit cum Consortium Meet under the AURORA Project. The event was held for four days, from October 27 to October 30, 2023. 

As per KISS Bhubaneswar, the international meet was attended by representatives from six countries: Spain, Romania, Czech Republic, Ireland, Nepal and India as well as participating institutes from India, Spain, Nepal, Czech Republic and Romania.

The AURORA Project is Co-funded by the ERASMUS+ Program of the European Union. It aims to boost staff and student capacity in areas involving Inclusive Education, Gender Equality, Democratic Values, Active Citizenship, and Combating Radicalism through education.

KISS Bhubaneswar Seventh Study Visit 2023 Highlights

On the second day, an international conference was held on the theme "Transformative Education, Gender Equality, Active Citizenship for Sustainable Development" as part of the AURORA Project's initiative. It received a large number of national and international paper presenters. 

The third day covered an immersion study visit program to offer the partner universities a taste of Odisha's rich cultural legacy. Members of the partner institutions, top KISS-DU officials, AURORA Club members, and university faculty members attended the event.

KISS Deemed to be a University has signed MoUs with the University of Malaga, Spain; and established the AURORA Centre and AURORA Club to launch Value-Added Courses for students.

The institution also hosted many national and international seminars and conferences, as well as published books and publications to promote the project's work. The KISS-DU AURORA Team represented the university at all six Study Visits and Consortium Meetings organised by various partner universities.
