The Centre for Distance and Open Education (CDOE), Jamia Millia Islamia has commenced admissions 2024 for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Program through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The course is of 2-5 years duration. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online before October 22, 2024. Candidates must note that the application forms will not be accepted after the deadline. Further, applicants must create ABC ID & DEB ID to fill-out the admission application form.

JMI CDOE BEd Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for JMI CDOE B.Ed program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 50% marks in either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Commerce, or Humanities.
• A relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per Central Government rules.
• Trained in-service teachers in elementary education are also eligible.
• Candidates must have completed an NCTE-recognized two-year teacher education program such as D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, BTC, JBT, or ETE through face-to-face mode.
• Candidates must also appear for the entrance test conducted by CDOE, JMI.

JMI CDOE BEd Admission Process 2024

JMI BEd Admission offered through CDOE will be based on an entrance test conducted by the university in Delhi. Further, based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance test and the order of preference chosen by the candidate, he/she will be allotted a seat in the LSCs (Learner Support Centres). The details of the entrance test are given below:

JMI CDOE BEd Admission 2024 Entrance Test Details

All applicants are required to take an entrance test which will be conducted by CDOE, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. The entrance test is of 100 marks with 100 Multiple Choice Questions which will be divided into five sections as listed below:

• Section I: General English Comprehension (10 Marks)
• Section II: Logical Analytical Reasoning (20 Marks)
• Section III: Educational & General Awareness (25 Marks)
• Section IV: Teaching-Learning at School (25 Marks)
• Section V: Any one of the following teaching subjects (20 Marks): Maths / Science / Social Science / English / Hindi / Urdu.

The entrance test will last for 2 hours and candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking.

JMI CDOE BEd Admission 2024 Seat Intake

A total of 500 seats are available at JMI CDOE for BEd, with 50 seats allocated at each of the ten Learning Study Centres (LSCs). Seat allocation will be based on the rank achieved in the entrance test and the order of preference selected by the candidates. Candidates must note that once an LSC is allocated, it cannot be changed.
