The IP University, will begin the first counselling round for the MDes programme on July 28, 2023. Candidates appearing for the MDes counselling must be present at the designated venue for document verification.
New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU),will commence the first counselling round for the MDes programme on July 28, 2023.
Candidates appearing for the MDes counselling are required to be present at the University School of Design and Innovation, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. As per the provided list, all candidates must personally report for the Round 1 Counselling at the designated venue on the specified date and time.
The document verification for MDes counselling will take place on July 28, 2023, from 10 AM to 11 AM for all selected candidates from Delhi and outside Delhi, as per the first counselling schedule uploaded on the website.
Following the verification process, seat allotment and student admission will be conducted from 11 AM to 1 PM on the same day for all candidates from Delhi and outside Delhi who have successfully completed the document verification.

It should be noted that in case there are vacant reserved seats for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, etc., they may be converted to General Category seats as per the University's norms and approvals.
This process will be notified for Spot counseling after the second counselling. It is important to know that the seat allotment process will be concluded as soon as the seats in each specialization are filled.
IPU MDes First Counselling 2023: Documents Required for Verification
Candidates who have been selected for the MDes First Counselling documents verification process must bring the following documents:
- Fee payment receipt
- Four passport-size photographs (same as on the admit card)
- Copy of Admission verification form
- Proof of date of birth (Original and Photocopy of Secondary School Mark-sheet & Certificate)
- Mark-sheets / Certificates of qualifying examination
- Scorecard of the National Level Test
- Physical Fitness Certificate
- Reserved Category Certificate
- Conduct and Character Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution or Gazetted officer (not more than 06 months old)
- Application regarding age or any other relaxation with necessary approval (if applicable).
IPU MDes First Counselling 2023: Seat Matrix
The university will prepare the merit list considering various categories. Seat allocation for each M.Des course will depend on both merit and the preferences chosen by candidates during counselling.
The category information listed in the merit list was provided by applicants and will be verified during counselling.
