IPU Combine BEd with Four-Year Graduation Course to Offer Dual Degree; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU), Prof Mahesh Verma has announced that the university is planning to introduce a B.Ed Course along with the existing four-year Graduation courses. 

He has also announced that the registration process for the entrance exams will begin shortly by the end of January. The entrance exams are scheduled for April 27 to May 12, 2024. The results are expected to be released on May 25, 2024. The entrance exam for the newly introduced course will be conducted

Live every year, these exams will continue to be conducted in an offline mode using 'OMR' sheets. IPU organizes entrance exams for approximately 100 academic courses ranging from graduation to PhD. The university aims to streamline the counselling process for the benefit of students.

IPU is working towards introducing B.Ed courses in conjunction with four-year BA, B.Sc, and B.Com programs, enabling students to pursue dual degrees. However, the approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for this initiative is still yet to be submitted.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahesh Verma has shared plans to offer courses in BA Mass Media, BSc Environmental Science, BSc Packaging Technology, and MSc Food Technology. To accommodate students from various parts of the country, examination centres will be established beyond Delhi, in cities or states with higher application volumes. This move is part of the university's commitment to facilitating a broader reach for its entrance examinations.
