IIT Patna Introduces Industry-Oriented Hybrid Courses

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) has announced new industry-aligned academic courses from the academic session 2024-25. The courses focus on topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative models, and AI ethics.

The newly introduced courses will be offered in hybrid mode and will start in the autumn session. The application process is open for the same. The courses aim to fulfil students' aspirations and bridge the gap between academia and industry demands. These programs are aligned with global academic standards to enhance individual skill sets significantly.

Prof. T.N. Singh, Director, Prof. A.K. Thakur Dean (academics) and Dr. N.K. Tomar (associate dean resources) have informed that IIT Patna has embraced the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) to enhance the quality of education meeting the demands of industry.

The courses are designed for working professionals as well as for recent Class XII graduates. It will also provide you with the flexibility to exit the program at different stages with recognised qualifications as per the NEP guidelines. The course is also in adaptable formats to suit various learner needs, including schedules of working professionals and recent graduates.

Through research projects and access to high-performance computing facilities, the course emphasises on practical learning. The students admitted to the courses will also get internship and placement support from IIT Patna.

IIT Patna has also announced a two-year hybrid MTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering, executive MTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and dual specialisation. The institute will offer three-year undergraduate courses (full-time) in business administration (BBA) and computer science and data analytics.

The spot admissions will be held from June 28, 2024, to July 02, 2024. Orientation for all the new entrees will be held on June 30, 2024, and the classes will commence from August 1, 2024.
