IIT Guwahati Signs MoU with Acciojob and NSDC to Offer Training Courses on Cybersecurity & Data Analytics

IIT Guwahati has agreed to partner with NSDC and placement and skill-development company Acciojob. The agreement will help equip young professionals with cybersecurity skills and give them an upper hand in the employment market.

New Delhi: On March 16, 2024, the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with placement-focused company Acciojob and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The three institutes will jointly carry out a program to train students in cybersecurity and data analytics. 

As per IIT Guwahati, the program will include online training sessions. Participants will walk away with microcredits, which will transfer to their degrees. The program curriculum will help young professionals enhance their skills according to the demands of the industry.

The MoU was signed by NSDC CEO Ved Mani Tiwari and Acciojob CEO Yashwardhan Burad. In a tweet announcing the partnership, the NSDC stated, “This collaboration is a concentrated endeavor to equip youth, with essential certifications and avenues in cybersecurity, presenting promising career trajectories in this growing and ever-evolving sector.”

Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International said, “The collaboration with Acciojob is a significant step in this endeavour. The pioneering initiative will play a significant role in leveraging the skills of the youth to protect digital assets and safeguard sensitive information and lays the groundwork for a secure and resilient digital future for all”.
