New Delhi: Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has inaugurated a Dr Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) at the Central University of Haryana (CUH) campus to offer free coaching services to students who wish to prepare for UPSC examinations.
With this initiative, students of the scheduled caste category who are preparing to appear for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) can apply for free coaching for exam preparation at CUH campus. A total of 33% of seats in the centre have been reserved for women candidates.
The inauguration of Dr Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) was done on the campus ground in the presence of Sunita Duggal, Member of Parliament, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
Referring to this initiative, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar stated the Dr Ambedkar Center of Excellence of CUH aims to provide opportunities to students of a scheduled caste who have the ability to contribute to the development of the country.
With this centre, interested students will be prepared to appear for the Union Public Service Commission examination. This is the only centre established in Haryana which offers students with coaching services at no cost. Classes for students are expected to start soon.
Informing about the admission process, Dr Antresh Kumar, Coordinator of DACE, CUH stated that admission of applicants will be done based on entrance tests conducted by the center. Once the seats are confirmed, the classes will commence for all shortlisted candidates.
The inauguration of events was held in the Mini Auditorium located in Academic Block-1 of the Central University of Haryana (CUH) and was attended by the Registrar of the University Prof. Sunil Kumar, CUH fraternity along with the students.
