New Delhi: As per the latest updates, about 543 students from Jammu & Kashmir have bagged offers from leading MNCs during Chandigarh University Placements 2022.
Pro-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Dr R.S Bawa recently addressed a press conference to launch CUCET 2022. During the conference, he asserted that the university was able to maintain a stellar placement record for the last two years despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, Prof Bawa also said, ‘As many as 543 students from Jammu and Kashmir of the 2022 batch have bagged top offers from multinational companies like Google, Dell Technology, Wipro, Microsoft, IBM and Amazon. Among these 79 students received multiple job offers, 413 are engineering students and 49 are students from MBA.’
He also informed that around 15000 offers were made to students from batches 2021 and 2022 during Chandigarh University Placements 2022.

During this year’s campus placement, around 500 multinational companies made job offers to over 7500 students with an annual salary package of Rs 54 Lakhs. Out of these, around 38% are girls.

Pro-chancellor also mentioned Vansraj Sharma of Sanjay Nagar, a student of Computer Science engineering at Chandigarh University has received placement offers from 5 companies includingCognizant GenC Elevate, Virtusa Consulting Services, Wipro Limited, Capgemini and SISA Information Security.

Naman Jain from the same batch has also got offers from companies including Cognizant GenC Elevate, Wipro Limited and Capgemini while Angad Sharma from Nanak Nagar bagged job offers from 4 companies including Accenture India, HighRadius Technologies and Wipro Limited.
According to Prof. Bawa, Chandigarh University remains committed to its mission of guiding students to become self-reliant and self-employed. He said, ‘114 start-ups have been established by young entrepreneurs of the University in the last few years and it is a matter of pride that 16 out of these have been set up by the students of J&K, making for almost 15% of all start-ups’.

He also talked about the research prowess of the university and said that students and faculty alike have filed 1300 patents in the fields of Engineering, IT, Sciences and Health Care during the last 4 years, the highest by one single institution in the past three years.
