Dr. Girbal Singh Lodhi is currently serving as the Dean of School of Management and Commerce, SAM Global University. He has more than 12 years of experience in teaching and guiding students to a life of success. Dr. Girbal has done his MBA and Ph.D from Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University . Till now, 6 students have successfully completed their Ph.d under his guidance. He is an eminent scholar as well as an educator who strives towards creating a holistic learning environment.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Life is all about learning everyday and from everyone. Teaching and guidance also brings new learning and new experiences and that is what I thrive for. It’s my passion to learn and guide the young minds.

Provide an environment that supports intellectual, social and personal development. Learn the changing needs and implement the same for development of both the university and its students.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Future is not far away”. Reinventing oneself is the priority of the university. In this world of work from anywhere our university is focusing on learn from anywhere with ever changing digital world. 

What would you like to tell people about your university they may not know?

One should always enjoy their workplace and the work that they do. I feel the institute is the best place to work. For students overall grooming in education, their physical activities, their smartness, their mindset is important and that is what our institute offers to its students. 

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

With the current market scenario and trends like the covid pandemic, Russia-Ukraine War, dependence on IT is prevalent in almost every day to day work. It is important for everyone to be updated and quickly adapt to the changes and hence upgrade themselves to face the new challenges of the world.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your university?

Build positive relationships through communication. Promote class discussion and peer interactions. Staying connected with the students. Create a sense of order and routine. Positively reinforce good behavior.
