He was the Founding partner of Axis Risk Consulting and was the Service Line Leader for Enterprise Risk & Compliance at Genpact, he spearheaded global growth and digital solution development in areas such as Sustainability, Anti Corruption, Enterprise Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, Internal Audit, and SOX. He has over 25 years of expertise in Process Consulting, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Governance. Renowned for his thought leadership, he has authored impactful papers and served as an industry speaker at international forums in the United States, Europe, Malaysia, and India. Being the Founder, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style? 

As the Founder and Mentor for GRMI, my philosophy of leadership revolves around fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. I believe in the transformative power of education and the pivotal role that institutions play in shaping the future of individuals and society. My approach is grounded in a commitment to providing students with a holistic education that not only equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills but also nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and ethical decision-making. In terms of leadership style, I prioritize a collaborative and transparent approach. I understand the significance of teamwork and value the diverse perspectives that faculty, staff, and students bring to the educational community. I encourage open communication, active participation, and a culture of continuous improvement. As a leader, I strive to create an atmosphere where individuals feel empowered to contribute their best, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in the institution's mission. Also, I would encourage a culture of adaptability and resilience within the program, mirroring the dynamic nature of the field. How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school? 

My strategy for marketing and administering the school, particularly with a focus on a Risk Management program like GRMI, would involve a specialized approach to showcase the unique value proposition of our institution. Here's how I would strategize: Program Positioning, Target Audience Identification, Industry Collaboration, Digital Marketing and Outreach, Alumni Engagement, Admissions and Recruitment Strategy, and Continuous Program Enhancement. 


What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

My roles and responsibilities are multifaceted, driven by a commitment to providing exceptional education and guidance. Firstly, I am tasked with setting the strategic vision for the institute, ensuring that GRMI remains at the forefront of risk management education. This involves staying abreast of industry trends and evolving the curriculum to meet the dynamic needs of the field. Additionally, I serve as a mentor to both faculty and students, fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and professional growth. I am dedicated to creating a supportive atmosphere for students, offering guidance on career development, research endeavors, and personal growth. Beyond academic matters, I work to establish partnerships with industry leaders, fostering opportunities for internships, research collaborations, and guest lectures, thereby enriching the educational experience for our students. Ultimately, my overarching responsibility is to cultivate an institute where students not only receive a top-tier education in risk management but also develop into well-rounded, ethical professionals ready to make meaningful contributions to the industry.
